Phoenix
Good news indeed. Probably the best signing we will make this summer.
lady-isobel-barnett
Excellent. Apart from his own sizable contribution I feel his re-signing helps us field younger midfield players with more confidence. With Rowson in the team I don't think Bannigan, MacBeth or Campbell's defensive failings will be too much a concern.
Lindau
Yep and fair do's to the board for getting him on a two year deal
Blackpool Jags
Doesn't say whether the new deal is full or part time although not fussed either way; just glad to see him re-sign for us.
Armand2
Great news. Presume he's staying full-time, seeing as there is no mention of otherwise. Not too fussed about Flannigan re-signing; to be honest, I'd prefer if he didn't and we used the money elsewhere. Definitely a little short in defence. Could do with another left sided defender and, at least, one centre half. I don't expect any more strikers to arrive, possibly one on loan, but would rather see Burns and McGrotty given a chance. 1 John Lambie
Thought he was on his way to Stirling.... Great news, surprised that it's a 2yr deal, but got no doubts that he's fit enough to go that distance & possibly further.

Very short in defence - no deal for Robertson so far and we need cover for Paton too. Agree about Flannigan. Hodge has gone too so Jackie should have some spare cash. Good points. I'm actually a Flannigan fan but can see your logic re priorities. I'm more than a tad concerned at right back cover and wonder whether saving money on getting a further loan deal for Balatoni rather than re-sign Robbo, who's quite a dual role specialist, would be wise. I'd imagine if a quality striker was available we could send two or even three of the younger brigade out on loan but I really think that's more hypothetical. I make that now a total squad of 21 players and would imagine we'll go with no more than 24 players in all. We'll possibly send a few of the youngsters out on short loan and go with a first team ready squad of seventeen/eighteen outfield players. Robertson can play right across the back - although he's best on the right side. He's played left back to I'm sure. Depends what Robertson's ambitions for the future are of course and whether we can match them (e.g. by offerign a coaching role). Not that I'm saying we don't need another full back, just that Robertson is the ideal defensive cover for a team like ours.

Agreed, knows the club & the players, is fit & still a good player at both CB & RB (& LB if played there I'm sure).
lennythistle
Great to see Rowser signed. Agree with the comments regards Robbo. I'd like to see him resigned. I do like Flannigan and feel he offers a lot at set pieces so want to see him re sign too. Remember that all those out of contract are not neccessary away from Firhill. They could still be offered deals over the summer.

jags on tour
So how do we improve the squad? messi, rooney, ronaldo, xavi, iniesta. once these guys see a big name like rowser committing his future to the club they might think about signing! well chuffed rowser has signed, we could do with getting robbo a deal especially as the gaffer is hanging up his boots. chunky jag
Robbo would be a decent utility player across the back, but I honestly think if we can get Balatoni back on loan, Campbell can cover RB, won't be a must.
