Lenziejag
On the official site there is an article about the times Thistle started with 5 wins which is a record for the Jags. I thought that the 1971/72 season we started with 6 wins in the league cup section. Am I wrong ?
jaggy
We had 2 draws, but won all 6 in 75/
ClydebankJag
What about our best league start? Was it 1983/84 when we won the first 7 games (and still never went up)? http://www.statto.com/football/stats/scotland/division-one/1983-1984/table/1983-09-

lady-isobel-barnett
If I mind right the 08/09 5 game stretch included at least one win in extra time (think it might have been two).
Barney Rubble
I'd prefer to discuss this once we've won the league.
Craig-W
I'd prefer to discuss this once we've won the league. Aye, exactly. "1983/84 when we won the first 7 games (and still never went up)"... Let's just haud the horses and keep the champagne corked for a wee while yet. The Earl of Hathaway
Aye, exactly. "1983/84 when we won the first 7 games (and still never went up)"... Let's just haud the horses and keep the champagne corked for a wee while yet. Aye, there was a wee sing-song of 'and now you're gonnae believe us, We're gonnae win the league' yesterday. Now much as I love that song and the singing thereof, it is just a wee bit early for it. Come September, however...
Third Lanark
A few of us myself included at times, had some doubts over Jackie's and Sid'samangerial ability last season. Credit to the players for the fantastic start to the season and much credit must go to Jackie and Sid. If there are managerial casualties in the SPL I can see clubs looking at Jackie, this may be a good team for the board to maybe start looking at extending Jackie's contract
