chunky jag
I got the first 11 from the st mirren within like a minute, that game is etched in my mind for all time, was an epic!
Ancipital
Good quiz, got 141/ 165 including the full teams from 2002/3 2003/4 2007/8 2008/9 2010/11 2011/12 2012/13 Most of the ones I didn't get were from the first 2 years of the quiz. Trying to remember some of the GC / Bunnet signings was painful. Spoilery stuff Can't believe Britton and Dunn weren't in there. I could not remember for the life of me who played RB in the St Mirren game, apologies Paddy Kelly. I have no idea to this day who Mark Donaghy is. twinny
I did this yesterday and again today and missed so many players that I got yesterday, only got 100 and 113 each day respectively (at least I didn't get less than yesterday!). partickthedog
Yeh the fact geree doesn't feature in this amazed me! Robert Dunn another unexpected gap. Loved the multi-surnames-Gibson, Murray, Smith etc where remembering one was worth 3 or 4.

jagscast
Here's a slightly different one that I've thought up. Below are 7 starting line-ups, all with a man missing. You simply have to identify the missing player and what the match is. All are "significant" matches for one reason or another. Game 1: 1. Campbell 2. Crichton 3. Bulloch 4. Harris 5. Wilson 6. Borthwick 7. ????? 8. Kinloch 9. Johnstone 10. McMenemy 11. Salisbury Game 2: 1. Nelson 2. Law 3. McLaughlin 4. Jamieson 5. Tierney 6. Irons 7. McKilligen 8. Farmingham 9. Britton 10. Ancipital
game 2- 3-0 win vs Rangers in 92/93 and Albert Craig? game 3 is from the 99/00 season - maybe the win over Livi in the cup? No idea of the player game 5 i think is the cup semi vs Rangers in 2002, pretty sure it's Paul Walker. game 6- the Ayr game when we got relegated - dunno the player game 7 league cup final 1971- Jackie Campbell

partickthedog
Game 6 Number 11 has to be Andy Lyons. Created our goal scored by Gareth Evans. Game 3 Mark McNally good shout by Jagfox,, but I think that you are a season too early. Not sure who Number 5 is, but given that a centre half is likely, how about Brian Martin? Game 5 cannot be St Mirren league decider as Kevin Budd was in goals that day. Derek Fleming may well still be the correct answer.
jagscast
The correct answers so far..... Here's a slightly different one that I've thought up. Below are 7 starting line-ups, all with a man missing. You simply have to identify the missing player and what the match is. All are "significant" matches for one reason or another. Game 1: Scottish Cup winning team 1921 1. Campbell 2. Crichton 3. Bulloch 4. Harris 5. Wilson 6. Borthwick 7. Blair 8. Kinloch 9. Johnstone 10. McMenemy 11. Salisbury Game 2: 3-0 v Rangers in 92/93 1. Nelson 2. Law 3. McLaughlin 4. Jamieson 5. Tierney 6. Irons 7. McKilligen 8. Farmingham 9. Britton 10. Cameron 11. Craig Game 3: 1. Budinaukas 2. Docherty 3. McKeown 4. Lennon 5. ????? 6. Archibald 7. McIntyre 8. Craig 9. Lindau 10. English 11. Jacobs Game 4 : 1. Rough 2. Gray 3, Forsyth 4. Clark 5. McKinnon 6. Strachan 7. McQuade 8. ????? 9. T. Rae 10. A. Rae 11. Glavin Game 5: Scottish Cup Semi Final 2001/02 1. Arthur 2. Kelly 3. Archibald 4. Craigen 5. Paterson 6. Deas 7. Walker 8. Lennon 9. McLean 10. McCulloch 11. Britton Game 6: Ayr United relegation game 1. Hamilton 2. Boyle 3. Archibald 4. Hetherston 5. MacDonald 6. Stirling 7. Lauchlan 8. Henderson 9. Lawrence 10. Evans 11. Lyons Game 7: League Cup winning team 1971 1. Rough 2. Hansen 3. Forsyth 4. Glavin 5. Campbell 6. Strachan 7. McQuade 8. Coulston 9. Bone 10. A. Rae. 11. Lawrie So the remaining two to get are: Game 3: 1. Budinaukas 2. Docherty 3. McKeown 4. Lennon 5. ????? 6. Archibald 7. McIntyre 8. Craig 9. Lindau 10. English 11. Jacobs Game 4 : 1. Rough 2. Gray 3, Forsyth 4. Clark 5. McKinnon 6. Strachan 7. McQuade 8. ????? 9. T. Rae 10. A. Rae 11. Glavin
Veejag
Is the number 5 in Game 3 Brian Martin? Can't think of the match though.
lady-isobel-barnett
I got a feeling, mostly as the other games chosen were significant, the No4 game would be against Honved but not sure if home or away. I assume then it would be Coulston at No 8. As I type Glavin wearing a No11 shirt is confusing me no end.
Dick Dastardly
I got a feeling, mostly as the other games chosen were significant, the No4 game would be against Honved but not sure if home or away. I assume then it would be Coulston at No 8. As I type Glavin wearing a No11 shirt is confusing me no end. Glavin was in the middle for both the Honved games and I'm sure he wore 8 on both. I think it might be the following season, maybe the 7-0 loss to Celtic. Don't know the player, but Coulston is as good a guess as any. kni
Game 4 - promotion clinching team in 1971? Coulston was my initial guess but, as Glavin is wearing 11, it could have been Lawrie or Gibson.
Ancipital
Game 4 is before my time so can't help there. Said earlier that game 3 was definitely the 99/00 season as it was the only one where Quinton Jacobs played for us. I thought originally the 2-1 win over Livi in the cup, Albert Craig scored that day and Scott McLean came off the bench to score the winner so wouldn't have been in the XI but that doesn't seem to be right. I don't think it's the game in the next round vs Ayr as Lindau would have been ineligible to play against Ayr - in fact he might have been cup tied for the Livi game as well. Only other "significant" game I can think of from that season was a 5-4 vs QoS but I'm sure Derek Lyle scored in that one (he might have been a sub though). In terms of players who played that season, Ray Montgomerie could be a shout for #5. Or Brian Martin as mentioned.
jagscast
With both players having been identified I'll reveal the final answers. So the remaining two to get are: Game 3: First game of the 21st Century(A 2-2 draw v Hamilton) 1. Budinaukas 2. Docherty 3. McKeown 4. Lennon 5. Montgomerie 6. Archibald 7. McIntyre 8. Craig 9. Lindau 10. English 11. Jacobs Game 4 :The first Thistle team to play in Europe(away leg to Honved) 1. Rough 2. Gray 3, Forsyth 4. Clark 5. McKinnon 6. Strachan 7. McQuade 8. Coulston 9. T. Rae 10. A. Rae 11. Glavin Hope you enjoyed this little quiz, was something different. Would happily do another few if people want me to.
