Jaggernaut
Wasn't a zero signing for me. After his performance against us in the Scottish Cup a season or two before, I was quite pleased with the signing. He was never a goalscorer, but he worked hard against Thistle that day and was the standout in the Stirling Albion team. Had high hopes for him. Looks like he might well be in the 1st Division next season with Alloa.
northernsoul
Pretty sure Grehan was £10,000. What a waste.
Jaggernaut
Pretty sure Grehan was £10,000. What a waste. Interesting that he's scored 3 for Alloa in 6 games. He scored 3 for us...... in 39 games!
thistle4tw
Pretty sure Grehan was £10,000. What a waste. nah he was £25,000 I remember seeing it being announced on the website, I just thought no matter how hard he tried he was just absolute garbage, good luck to the big guy at Alloa though, I remember the majority of the shed and myself booing him at Hamilton last year and the next day he got let go, felt a bit crap about it to be honest, but he was pretty bad, no mistake. thebiglemon
anyone remember a guy called alan carson? the only one I ever saw who was as bad as paxton Yes !!! We always refused to call him Carson (and referred to him as Carsman) until he demonstrated some ability- sadly he never did. I think we signed him from Cumbernauld (but do/did they even have a team) He was a big blond haired dude- would have made a decent porn star. The Sunnylaw Jag
John Gemmell was another one we signed from Queens Park, who just looked worse everytime, he came on as sub, like a big cart horse although his goal scoring record for lower league clubs seems pretty good. Metz
scott mclean. fat lazy useless fud, who thinks coz he scored goals against diddy pub teams it made him good Not only have you missed the point of this thread as most would have had high expectations of Scott McLean to suggest he was poor is at least disingenuous or at best a personnel dislike blind to any logic. He didn't start his Thistle career quickly but his record overall compares more favourably than most in his position. Barney Rubble
Scott McClean scored goals in the top division for the Jags - that is a fact. Baird has yet to do so. Hoping he will do in due course, but there is no denying that was a shocking miss yesterday.

Scored once in a 4-0 win against Dunfermiline in SPL 2002-2003 11 goals in the 1st + 2 in the cup 2001-2002 17 in the Second 2000-2001

Always be grateful to Trigger as he played a big part in two promotions but I'd like to think Baird will at least surpass McLean's goal tally in the top division. "There's only one…. Scott McLean…... …Walkin' in a Trigger Wonderland." One of the best "recent" songs in the R&Y army's repertoire, and accurate.
