What is the real capacity of Firhill these days?

Wiki says this;

"The modern stadium comprises three seated stands, with an unused area at the south end. The current capacity of the ground includes 10,102 seats with no standing areas available. The Main Stand was built with an original capacity of 6,000, but now holds somewhere closer in the region of 2,900 seats. There is a small enclosure of terracing at the front of the stand. In January 2006, the club announced that the Main Stand would no longer be used on matchdays due to high maintenance and stewarding costs. There have been exceptions, however, including the Scottish Cup match against Rangers and the final match of the league season against Greenock Morton. On both occasions away fans were seated in the North Stand and the Main Stand. Also when Glasgow Warriors played derby matches against Edinburgh, the main stand was typically used.

All home fans are now housed in the stand opposite the old stand, the Jackie Husband Stand. The stand was constructed in 1994 with a capacity of 6,263 and is named after former Thistle player Jackie Husband. The newest stand is the North Stand, at one end of the ground. This has a capacity of 2,014."

Those figures don't add up. :dancing:

M2 is obviously a celtic section - opposite side of our singing section and has suddenly become full.

Sounds like it.

At least they've been sensible enough not to buy tickets for the jags singing section.

Any celebrating from celtic fans in there and it could kick off.

wouldn't be surprised if the police and stewards are coming up with makeshift segregation plans for the main stand.

That's the same main stand that the police prevented us from using for Celtic fans.

So, if Celtic have 3,500 tickets and have sold them out, and we've sold 4,900ish according to pt's last count, we're looking at 8,400 at a minimum. Largest home crowd of the season, beating Celtic's previous visit of 7,978. We got 8,857 for the Morton title decider last season, think tonight will reach more than that?

11am on the match day

546 of 3712 JHS tickets available.

740 of 2466 MS tickets availanle.

To date "we" have filled 4891 of the 6178 tickets available to us.

1000 tickets sold in 2 days, with 800 being sold in the main stand.

worth noting that JH6 beside the Celtic fans allocation is now full. also that M2 only has 36 seats left. The singing section is M6 and M7.

half 1 and theres three and a half hours til the tickets stop selling.

To date "we" have filled 4931 of the 6178 tickets available to us.

41 tickets sold since 11 am suggests the club are basically telling everyone to go do one.

Surely if they are daft enough to celebrate in the Thistle end they will just get thrown out anyways. I'm looking forward to it, there should be a good atmosphere and we're not expected to get anything from the game, its not like the Morton game last year when there's so much riding on the game. Celtic are going to win the league anyways, I don't really know why folk are getting upset about them winning it here.

the result of the game is why? the implications of that result . So no definitive title party allowed , a draw or a win for PTFC required . The Celtic fans can have a party at their own Gaff and do us a favour by putting Ross County to the sword as part of their title celebrations. On Wednesday night, we take the points , we just thank them for their money and tell them see you next year.

Last Home Game v Celtic was great. Was very disappointed we did not take a point from that as we played some good stuff. A well filled Firhill and good atmosphere. Makes me forget about visits from Cowdenbeath and Peterhead. Anyone who is not going because of "them" is nuts IMHO. Support your team. Ignore the silly "party" songs. Enjoy it.

Unfortunately that never happens, its usually the jags fan complaining about the Rangers/Celtic fans celebrating / singing sectarian songs in front of them that gets huckled by the Police

Not always true Norge.

The cup replay against Rangers in 2008 there were a group of them turned up and I tried to say I was in their seat. Saw a rangers top underneath the guys jumper and let rip on him. Polis came down and I thought it was me they wanted, but they escorted the Rangers fans out of there. Don't know if they moved them or just chucked them out.

We had an 'incident' in previous games where we had a TV camera in front of us & press benches behind us.

PTFC staff said before the game they'd try sort it. Nothing.

Celtic Media guy- one of many, why are they allowed so many?- complains to same PTFC member of staff about us standing...

He gets an apology & moved.

I'm not going tonight. The biggest downside of top flight football is visits of either of The Ugly Sisters.

I know of 3 Celtic fans who have got tickets in the home end for tonight. Going to turn ugly.

Probably taken to a director's seat and told to enjoy himself.
