  1. On a positive note, well done to the 600+ Jags fans who made the trip & hopefully the fan who took unwell makes a full & speedy recovery.

  2. Doolan doesn’t know how to set up a team in any other formation from what we currently play. His philosophy has always been “you score 3, we’ll score 4”. Sadly our defence is so bad we can’t score enough goals any more. He needs to show he can change this and quickly, the rest of the league have caught us up very quickly. That back 5 can’t start again on Saturday. Even bring in another defender and play 3 at the back with McMillan and Milne pushed on. Anything but chucking the same 11 out again and hoping for a change.

  3. 23-3. Let’s not be too harsh on the attack.

  4. I think Doolan lacks the awareness or balls to actually change things. I'm sure Dougie at Morton would not be so forgiving of this absolutely crap. Neilson, Muirhead, and Stewart all need dropped! It's becoming clear that our cheap managerial option is going to bite us on the arse if this keeps up

  5. Whilst your about Admin, please can you change my forum name to my new favorite word 'Tranche' Jag. I just can't justify my current name anymore... Many thanks. 👍 (Hopefully this won't result in a points deduction in the Scottish Cups Pop Up due to changing name during the competition! If it does I may have to take legal action and I'll become bitter again, oh god!)

  6. Then surely Mitchell should have been playing last few games- better than Sneddon and Stewart

  7. He got through October and November last year losing 6 on the bounce. But yes we’re crap currently

  8. Younger players have been absolutely robbed of game time. How promising did McKenzie look in midfield, aswell as Stanway and Diack has had a decent contribution to the team when called upon. Moral looks ******* terrible, we only have Lawless and Fitzpatrick who can play wide.. Lyon is a good option to have from when I’ve watched him and he’s away on loan ? Playing Banzo along with Macbeth in midfield doesn’t work they are both slow. Yet because of a shite ref performance he stuck to the same team.

  10. Airdrie win at Tannadice and don’t concede. Morton draw at Kirkcaldy and don’t concede. We can only dream what that’s like and how they do it

  12. We play the same team every week, make the same subs at the same time, and have dropped any guys like stanway, Lyons who showed a bit of promise. Our keeper problem has been clear since the start of the season and stewart is clearly not the answer. How is muirhead still getting a game after last saturday

  13. Our third place “cushion” has gone and with the next 4 games against DU/QP/RR/Morton expect we will be out of the top 4 by then. With no changes at HT against a bang average Ayr, Doolan hasn’t demonstrated a plan B so presumably he’s banking everything on a fit OReilly quickly returning and shoring up that defence? He clearly doesn’t have any confidence in the likes of Williams and Ngwena to make a difference. The strikers evidently need to score three or four every week for a draw now. “we can’t score 3 away from home and not win”… someone said after the ICT game Risk of free fall now

  14. Keeping doing the same things with the same personnel and expecting things to be different is not a good approach.

  17. One of the likely causes of tiring in a game is the age of the squad. Quite a few of our regulars are over 30 (Murihead, Bannigan, Graham, Lawless, Robinson, Alston) When you compare that with 2012/13 which was probably the last time we played a fast game that ran the opposition off the park then you can see we are more reliant on older personel. Also worth noting that a team like Raith have very few over 30's which perhaps explains why they are still fresh enough to win games in the last 15 minutes. Similarly Dundee United have ran us off the park in both games and until they signed Wotherspoon they were only regularly playing 3 or 4 over 30's. It would be interesting to see how our over 30 contingent compares to other Championship teams. To my mind we are more reliant that most and that potentially means fitness late in games can be a problem but more worryingly we will need to replace the core of our squad in the not too distant future.

  18. According to the manager it was an issue with his achilles that meant he got subbed on Friday.
