League Cup draw

Told ye,

we ended 1970-71 on a Sunday and started 1971-72 on a Sunday.
we ended 2017-18 on a Sunday and started 2018-19 on a Sunday.

That's only ever been done twice.

It is written.

seeded:
Aberdeen
Ayr United
Celtic
Dunfermline Athletic
Hibernian
Livingston
Rangers
St Johnstone

unseeded:
Dundee
Kilmarnock
Heart of Midlothian
Motherwell
Partick Thistle
Queen of the South
Ross County
St Mirren

Livingston at Firhill anyone? :whistling:

Going by last year, its an extra ten grand in the bank in prize money and obviously the gate money as well.

However would you trust Archie not the squander it? I thought the board told us he would be given a decent budget anyway in their statement.

ETA: Looking at over 20k for a televised match as well

Not good .... we are likely to get thrashed which will not be great for our confidence

You'd do well to remember we came within a whisker of a 3-3 at Celtic Park in the last meeting between the sides earlier this year.

We can't be going in with a loser's mentality before a ball is kicked.

My point was to avoid them all together we are not playing well

I would give them JHS and North or Main stand, given that we tend to not attend the OF games in big numbers and maximise the income  it could be the difference in wages for a decent striker. Losing to Celtic will not shatter our confidence giving that we are not expected to win, playing away to Dunfermline in next round and losing heavily would be more likely to affect confidence
