Third Lanark
I’m amazed that this was allowed to happen . A complete shambles and it would have happened when Low was in charge - another damning indictment of the previous regime https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/23337533.partick-thistle-take-action-contract-oversight-comes-light/?fbclid=IwAR2wMiiNkdTxWxnTxc9qAvbXDDxxjGnvqMZoO9BOTeYw_gOfxSvq3YsRe00

jaggy
Were the play off dates in place last summer never mind 2 summer ago when some contracts would have been signed?

Yellow & Redneck
Wouldn't everyone's favourite untouchable "hanger-on-er" Gerry Britton have a pretty big role when it came to contacts? That is the suggestion in most of the articles concerning signings.
laukat
Gerry was I believe made chief exec in May 2018. Since then we appear to have made mistake after mistake If we're struggling financially and looking to save some cash by reducing the size of the management team surely mistakes like these afford the board the ability to look at if the chief exec is value for money? We have known for ages that this season was going to be unusual due to the World Cup being held in the winter. Presumably the players agents should also have been aware of the anomaly and looking out for them ?

Players Contracts are Standard Forms approved by the SFA - there are then sections for adding in the additional Clauses particular to each Player - - which would include the date that the Contract Ends It would be standard Practice for a Team looking to get into a Play Off Spot to have the Contract Ending after the Play Off Dates ( and in the Premier Play Offs if possible relegation ) Given we pretty much always tick one of the Two aforementioned Boxes then Contracts at the End of May- is shall we say unusual - and sort of flies in the Face of " our aim is promotion " statement by the Board

dibble
100 % on the chief executive this- sure it can be fixed easily but does raise concerns about governance at the club Edited February 22 by dibble
