Yellow & Redneck
This is on our higher ups as well. Muirhead was explicitly signed as a backup CB two years ago, and two f-ing years later we are still persisting with him. It's not his fault. It's the fault of a clueless management unable to actually address a clear issue over the past two seasons. These are Archibald-like signings during his last season. Utterly clueless. Just waiting for agents to unload their shite on Firhill's doorstep. I mean, seriously. We have THREE f-ing "first team" goalkeepers on the books all demanding a good wage. That's a criminal waste of funds. Edited February 27 by Yellow & Redneck

Thistle88
I’m done he doesn’t have a clue. Stanway has more bite and fight in him than mcinroy and Bannigan put together. We lack someone who can come on and influence a game and he put Lyon on loan, who had a few great performances. The younger players are better than the ones we are using just now, Lawless and Fitz need a rest and he just won’t do it ! We don’t have the players for it and it’s his fault. Some of the signings are as bad as the ones Archie made when we got relegated.

King Kenny
Doolan doesn’t know how to set up a team in any other formation from what we currently play. His philosophy has always been “you score 3, we’ll score 4”. Sadly our defence is so bad we can’t score enough goals any more. He needs to show he can change this and quickly, the rest of the league have caught us up very quickly. That back 5 can’t start again on Saturday. Even bring in another defender and play 3 at the back with McMillan and Milne pushed on. Anything but chucking the same 11 out again and hoping for a change.

I keep saying this, we have the best 2 wing backs in the league. Fitz or Lawless can lay the 10 Role. Give one them a rest they need it ! JAG1970
Airdrie win at Tannadice and don’t concede. Morton draw at Kirkcaldy and don’t concede. We can only dream what that’s like and how they do it

elevenone
Sad part is that if you told me at 7.45pm we would score 3 goals I still would not have bet on us winning or indeed even taking a point tonight.

Thistle88
Lawless and Fitz need a rest just play every defender we have on Saturday. Hope we are not losing until 75 mins and bring every attacking player we have on. Tactics, formations and setting up the team are already oot the windae way this guy anyway ! Apparently Mitchell’s injury was misdiagnosed by physio team, nowhere near as bad as first feared, but by the time we realised, Stewart had been signed. 🤯
Winter of '63
We are now the top Scorers in the League with 50 goals but have conceded 44 which is 28 more than Dundee United and the reason we are now struggling to make the play-offs. I don't want to jump to conclusions on a game I didn't see but it does seem that again tonight we didn't lose goals because we are playing cavalier attacking football or outstanding play by the opposition but through failures in basic defending. Younger players have been absolutely robbed of game time. How promising did McKenzie look in midfield, aswell as Stanway and Diack has had a decent contribution to the team when called upon. Moral looks ******* terrible, we only have Lawless and Fitzpatrick who can play wide.. Lyon is a good option to have from when I’ve watched him and he’s away on loan ? Playing Banzo along with Macbeth in midfield doesn’t work they are both slow. Yet because of a shite ref performance he stuck to the same team.

Then the Hamilton and Cove games sunk him
