Fawlty Towers
Robbo going to ayr,Liam going to dunfermline, hodge and erskine going to killie? I can believe the first two but I can't see Bryan & Chris moving to an SPL side.

Yellow & Redneck
Robbo to Ayr is mildely believable. Dunfermline being stupid enough to invest in a dud who has been firing blanks all season?...No chance. If Bryan Hodge is moving to an Ayrshire club it may as well be Saltcoats Victoria because he would crash and burn in the SPL. And as improved as Erskine is, despite potential, he is not ready for a trip to the SPL. Ok, so I will through some (realistic) names into the hat: Scott Fox should sign, Martin Hardie perhaps, Peter McDonald's (pish as he is) name has been thrown about a few times on here, Conrad Balatoni to extend loan...and for laughs, what the hell, lets just say Jim Hamilton and Lucas Akins are signing again. We are short on coaches at the moment so we should invest in some more!
1 John Lambie
Don't see Robbo leaving to go to Ayr, he's better than that & still has a part to play for us. That rumour was about a few seasons ago, turned out to be crap. Don't see any of the others happening either. Hanx78
heard it! That can't and won't happen although it would free up money for fox and hardie.

Steven H
heard it! That can't and won't happen although it would free up money for fox and hardie. I can see the Robbo and Liam one's being true, but it would be 'typical Thistle' to let Buchanan go and he then scores a hatfull for another Club...who then sell him for a good price. PaleGreySky
Don't worry about buchanan being a consistent success at another club. He really doesn't have enough talent in striking a ball to be a particularly good player. He is all about pace and positioning, and it's debatable as to whether he can do either very well any more. Happy to let him go.
jaggy
It's sad but true that 33rd year old injury prone Martin Hardie is more of a goal threat than Liam will ever be

kni
Dunfermline could take a punt on Buchanan to reunite the partnership with Pat Clarke. His record over the last four seasons was a goal very two games, more than acceptable. The problem is that he lost form, and possibly confidence, this season. The Robbo rumour could be true if Ayr are willing to give a two-year contract. I can't see Killie coming in for Hodge or Erskine. My main concern is that we could lose Scott Fox to another club if the club dithers due tight finances.
kni
The same Peter McDonald that's just signed a new six month deal? 6 month deal confirmed - http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/2072485?UserKey= Wikipedia suggests that he made only 181 appearances since 2001! Would we really want to sign another injury prone striker after the experience with Lovell last year? Edited January 1, 2011 by kni
Buchanan 9
6 month deal confirmed - http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/2072485?UserKey= Wikipedia suggests that he made only 181 appearances since 2001! Would we really want to sign another injury prone striker after the experience with Lovell last year? But can we really put our faith in Liam any more? Doolan is doing great [well, he's our top scorer] with the heat off him would quite like to see that continue. Can't keep expecting the world of some of the players we have. MacDonald is a very good finisher and if he signed I would be realtively happy. Greacen to us would be a bad move, we have too many ageing, immobile defenders. How about asking Saints to lend us Scott Dobie (transfer listed) or Graham Gartland - http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/player.php?param=

Fawlty Towers
Balatoni's loan deal has been extended until the end of the season. Good news, in my opinion, as he has done well after a slightly shaky start. Could this make it more likely that Robertson will depart though? http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2010-2011/january_2011/balatoni_loan_extended Edited January 3, 2011 by Fawlty Towers

Could this make it more likely that Robertson will depart though? http://ptfc.co.uk/ne...i_loan_extended Robertson's departure will depend on whether the youngsters like McGeough and Lochead can compete for places in the first team. His cause will not have been helped by the improvement in the defence's performance whilst he has been out. The extension of Balatoni's loan could be significant. He is still young and will improve with more games. My concern is that we could be developing a Hearts player at the expense of our own young players of the future.
