Norgethistle
My experience was poor as I was stuck here in Norway, I insist the Onethistle team start chartering a jet or chopper for me to make it to the games, surely my ST money covers that

potty trained
Great atmosphere in the north stand. But, the stewarding of the singing section of the Dumbarton fans was shocking, easily seen from the north stand. These guys don't support our club yet have paid a lot of money to come to our ground and as such should be treated like a customer. Pointing in their face and grabbing them is not the way to interact because 20 isolated fans chose to stand and sing. Hats off to Jim for having a chat with the Sons, without a doubt a good thing, as the saying goes, you get more with sugar than you do with salt, and to be act in a calming way, with a club tie on, probably helped the situation. Just because you have a high viz on, doesn't give you the right to be a bully. If you want to act like that, go steward in Tayside. Catering was better in the north stand with queues dealt with quickly. By the way. The toilets in the north stand are night and day compared to the nonsense the fans have to put up with in the JHS. Toaster
Good day out for us again Impressions Catering- shockingly poor overpriced and of general poor quality queues dealt with better than at the Falkirk game but could certainly improve Stewarding fine down at the kids section of the JHS common sense applied and stewards worked in a relaxed manner and were nothing but friendly towards the kids and big kids down there. Toilets in the JHS were well lets just say not the freshest of most inviting of toilets I've ever had the pleasure of visiting oh and hats off to whatever poor soul was dressed up as Jaggy mcbee. whoever it is is spot on for the job very patient with the kids and a credit to the club. little_miss_jag
I shall start with the positives Toilets were clean and as I was probably one of the few girls using them in the north stand it was pretty decent. None of this wooden toilet seat nonsense like JHS, The q was quick and good to see 3 people serving. The Negatives: As I have already mentioned last week still no veggie pies, I mentioned it last week and I don't understand what is difficult about asking the caterers to put some in the north stand. If you are not going to sell them in the north stand don't advertise them! I would bring food but that usually gets the guy searching my bag saying no - a carton of ribena which you can buy in the ground can't be brought in for some bizarre unknown reason! (Sorry I no I tweeted you my disappointment Sandy and the offer of a pie from JHS was nice but by that point I had past caring ha!) Overall am loving the north stand and looking forward to home games more and more!
Pie Of The Month
Didn't affect me since I have an adult season ticket but there seemed to be some issues with someone with a concession season ticket getting into the North Stand. Those at the turnstles need to be aware that there will be some with concession season tickets not under 18. North Stand was great fun once again. Edit: The stewards who it seemed sent up a One Thistle volunteer to have a word singling out 1 young guy for the Alan Lithgow chants was a bit over the top. Plenty were starting various chants about him and it seems to be no more than bullying to pick on of the wee guys and blame him for it. Steven H
Falkirk game I was inthe north stand and loved...reminded me of the atmosphere of old Firhill. Today was in the JHS with my family and it was like firhill of last season. What can be done to get these kids dining along and getting into it? There were a few giving it 'come on Thistle' but it was pretty meh. Wondering if lifting the under 16s thingy can be achieved, I know my two would love it...although not sure Miss Hanigan (LMJ ) would be too impressed One negative was having to walk all the way through the JHS concourse to take my wee girl to the ladies...and then having to wait in a reasonably long queue so she could pee (also, it was handy that there was someone on the queue that I knew and could look after my daughter inside the toilet where the queue continues). To be fair tho, I'm not too sure what can be done about this, the ladies toilet at the family section couldn't be accessed by home fans as it was in the away end. Overall, I prefer the north stand but probably won't get to experience it as often as I'd like...a price I'm prepared to pay to ensure my kids grow up in the jaggy tradition. The problem is so many people wouldn't want that and if kids are about chants like that wouldn't be sung and it all becomes a bit stale again and we are back to square one. I think keeping kids in the kid section is the best idea, but how to get the kids singing is a difficult one and certainly something to work on! Lenziejag
I am past the stage where I am bringing kids to the game(at least until the grand kids come along). I am not sure where the kids section is and haven't seen any signs in the concourse. It might be an idea to make it clear where it is so that any newcomers find it easily ? Steven H
You are of course correct, but they hear that and worse at away games anyway. I was being a bit tongue in cheek and I'm not calling for the age restriction to be lifted...mourning my own loss more than anything. Was good to see you all doin the firhill dance Perhaps enlisting some of the regular parents to help get the kids zone joining in might help...but tbh we could hardly hear the singing so more peeps in the north stand would also help. Fawlty Towers
What I have noticed in the 2 games so far is that the away fans don't seem to know that they are not in the North Stand this season. Perhaps someone from the club should contact their counterpart at the club we are due to be playing on the Saturday during the week so they can get something on their website explaining where the fans will be situated and that they can pay at the turnstyles so avoidable lines don't build up. Lenziejag
Little miss, I think that part of the reason for moving the singing section to the North stand was to let the rest of the JHS hear and join in ? You could clearly hear those chants as you could here the chants about Peachy at the Falkirk game.
Members Willjag
Bird shit on quite a few of the seats round about mine (and mine) and no season ticket holder sticker on my seat. Time to swap your clipboard for a sponge Sandy.
jags on tour
not that its the stewards fault but thought the lithgow chanting was a disgrace to the club.the guys singing that should be ashamed of themselves. glad to hear the stewards tried to stop it, would hope the onethistle guys tried to cut it out aswell.fair enough singing Thistle songs but chanting Paedo and Beast to the guy isn't what we want at Firhill

It wasn't an embarrassment and it is no worse than other abuse given to players.
jags on tour
I thought Thistle were trying to create a family friendly atmosphere, having home fans shouting paedo and beast within earshot of families with kids doesn't seem to be very family friendly to me! if your delighted with yourself after that then good for you
