One t in Scotland
Surprised to see Maxi popping up as a turnstile operator yesterday. As he waved me through on a red light I assume there was a system malfunction of some sort?
Stewarty
From what I could tell a decent proportion of tickets were being rejected by the turnstiles. Not sure what was causing the malfunction.
Ancipital
even allowing for the bigger crowds this season and my unerring ability to pick the slowest moving queue of 5, it still took me 10-15 minutes from arriving at Firhill to get to my seat, only just made it in for kick off. Last season (as I sit towards the North End) I would just walk up to the far end turnstiles and walk in. Hopefully just teething problems with the new gates. Lenziejag
Got in no problem at all. I was pretty early though an there was no one behind the turnstile
MWM
Mines didn't work. This is after they had already ****** up and double booked my seat! Muppets
Charlie Endell
I've now learned it's Thistle end first when inserting the card.
read'n'yell
I got signed in by a steward with a clipboard, who then used a card marked "supervisor" to let me in. This was before me getting to try my card so who knows if it was working or not. You'd think it should be fine by now.
Charlie Endell
I think we all knew Thistle wouldn't be using Acme Corporation to install them. Alan100
It was frustrating yesterday - many people couldn't get the ticket/card to work and we had to then join the longest queue where one guy was taking numbers and letting us in individually. Rid Skwerr
We got in no bother with our season tickets, but it was quite early on - maybe 2:30 or so.
potty trained
Used my JHS season ticket to get into the north stand. Didn't swipe it, showed it to the lad and he let me through.
Jaggernaut
The whole system sounds like a bit of a dog's breakfast. It might be slick and cool if it works, but if it doesn't, and people don't do what is expected of them (e.g. introducing the "correct" end of the ticket first), it's a recipe for treacle. ian_mac
Can't believe that we are now into the middle of September and this new system still isn't working properly. Another thing that strikes me about the actual cards is how easy they would be to duplicate. Card printing machines are quite common these days and the design could be easily replicated. Sure, they wouldn't have the chip in them to actually gain entry - but the systems such a mess that no one would bat an eye lid if another card didn't work would they? lady-isobel-barnett
Can anyone confirm what entry colour should be shown for concessions and what colour for full price?
thistledave78
Can anyone confirm what entry colour should be shown for concessions and what colour for full price? On sat it flashed green for both concession and adult tickets at the turnstile I went through. I took it when its red it didn't let you in and when green you were able to get through. Sure I've seen others on here say that it went red for them to get through so who knows!!

alx
It seemed a bit hit and miss. I was really early at daft-o-clock so no queues at that point.
Mediocre Pundit
Right, quick question then. As a non-ST holder wanting to go into the North Stand on Saturday, what do I now need to do?

H Wragg
Another quick question. If I, as a non ST holder, take my 5 year old ST holding son, is it safe to assume we will be able to enter the stadium via the same turnstyle? I noticed a lot of the gates were marked ST only on Saturday.

jaggy
We had the same issue on saturday and decided to get an under 16's ticket at the booth I assume (a bit daft where Thistle are concerned) that eventually anyone will be able to enter at any gate for the above reason
H Wragg
I take my 15 year old ST holding son and we go through the same turnstile. I entered the JHS through a City End turnstile marked ST holders only (son wasn't there) with a paper ticket on Saturday but not sure if that was allowed only because there seemed to be a few problems. What turnstiles do you use when you take your boy?
Mediocre Pundit
Hand over 20 squid at the turnstyle. Cheers, so no change then? Does this turnstile malarkey only affect ST holders?
