Killie Game 7/5/16

Just in from the game and absolutely brilliant result. A terrible game of football thanks to a honking killie team just playing long ball after long ball and long throw after long throw. Thistle did for spells get brought down to their level but the football side won in the end.

I am one of the biggest critics of Welsh but he had one of his best games today, covered every blade of grass (artificial) and always looked for the ball. Would have been a fantastic goal if the shot had the end had went in instead of nearly breaking the cross bar.

Thought every player got pass marks but scully needs to be more vocal and take control of the game at the back. A few times he wanted the defence to tidy up when he could have ran out and picked it up and also needs to learn to catch under pressure instead of punching. However can't remember him having a meaningful save to make.

Defence looks more solid with Lindsay on the bench but seabourne needs to stop kicking it aimlessly up the park. Every time it went to the killie player. Was very frustrating the amount of times we elected to hoof the ball forward instead of putting our foot on it and playing a 5 yard pass.

Great to see killie in the playoffs and it will be interesting to see how the teams fare.

Great day out and a performance that the players owed us after the last 3.

Here's to Alan Archibald and another season in the premier league!

Mon the jags!!!
