jagielka
Well done lads. at least this time you got the 3 points with out playing anything special. always nice if you can do it. Hamilton were not up to much mind and a second goal would have been nice for the fans, to stop us bitting our nails. you will be glad to hear im not going to slag Sinclair tonight, did ok, but like ive said he can do that only when the team are in total control like tonights game. no my player for some abuse this time is Paton. every pass more than 5 yards long you just new he was going to muck it up. give him his due, he kept at it.lol. but he is not BECK'S and someone needs to tell him , keep it simples Paul, simples ok. And please Erskine do some practise with your right leg, what a player you could be if you would only do something with it. Your not Davie Cooper, who could get away with only using his left peg. but you could get close if you worked that other boot now and again. Anyways well done lads. see everyone i can say some nice things. ps, is it only me or is Craig the most immobile center forward around. against Morton he looked like he had eated a 5 course lunch before the game and not to much livlier tonight, just a thought. Lenziejag
I seem to remember a pretty decent right foot shot from Erskine in the 2nd half that needed a good save from their keeper
alan261296
Craig is 32 years old, he's hardly going to be as mobile as a 25 year old. As long as he continues to score then I don't care how little he runs about.
The Arch
Craig doesn't do much a lot of the time, but like Forbes, he is usually good for an assist or a goal most games. Â Nice assist to Erskine before he got hacked down today for example.

dibble
Team did well tonight -tough when playing against team that sits back all the time- typical mid week grind. Thought lawless was great tonight and was a better option than Forbes -although his corners were poor- almost as bad as the Hamilton keepers by kicks. Santana
Paton's been our best player this season IMO and his passing has been fantastic.
digger
Paul Paton was immense tonight a real leader and an inspirational skipper. This team is all the better for having him in it.

shut up mimsy
Disagree with most of that to be honest and dont know how much you have seen this season but...  Erskine- had a decent shot tonight with his right and his 'weak' foot goal at airdrie was fantastic  Craig- know what you mean but he isnt the youngest and scores plenty anyway so who cares!  Paton- more like does Becks think he is Paton, I have thought his long balls have been excellent all season and that his passing has improved incredibly, not forgetting his tenacious attitude and tackling. Great captain for me.
kennymac29
I thought craig had a decent game on Saturday, lead the line well with very limited service. Without forbes distribution and passing had little service today but did no worse than anyone else. Â Welcome back s o,odonnell. Great to have our best player back. ThickAsThieves
Paton hit a few cracking long passes tonight so no idea what match you were watching. Â I stopped reading the above as soon as you said "simples". Only fann-ee-boz & spackers say "simples". They also tend to be the same numpties who can't punctuate and who slag of Paton, Erskine and Craig: but whether that applies here I really couldn't say..,
lady-isobel-barnett
Most of Erskine's goals earlier in the season were with his weaker foot. If there's anything to criticise in Chris's game I'd say he doesn't let fly with his good foot often enough but that's nitpicking. He won us the penalty tonight as the Hamilton defence were petrified of him and had every right to be.

Alan100
Paton has been immense this season. He's what the team needs. He isn't Beckham, which is why he plays for Thistle, not United, Real Madrid, A.C. Milan or PSG. He keeps things simple and supports others. All of the squad have done really well this season, so lay off knocking any of them.
clarencegarter
I read this post last night and couldnt be bothered replying to such a rediculous post. A hard fought mid week victory against a team who came to hope for a 0-0 should be congratulated. Yes it wasnt pretty at times and its certainly not the best that we have played this season but I would take a 1-0 victory every time. To then pick on a player who has been without doubt the most consistent of all season and also our captain is mind blowing! I actually thought his long passing was pretty decent last night. Yes hes not going to get every one spot on but neither does Becks! Paton is the one player who you can rely on to knuckle down and give everything for the team and idiots like you come on and post a topic like this which is disrespectful and insulting! Get a grip mate and get behind the team!

denny12
i think the paton bashing is a bit uncalled for tbh. agreed tonight his passing wasnt the best but the rest of the season his passing had been really good. Note back to the raith game in the challenge cup and his passes were impeccable! especially that amazing tackle and pass to erskines second i think it was. o'donnell will be back to best by saturday and i wouldnt mind seeing dools start for a change. Jaggernaut
Anybody think we could surpass 7 this Saturday?
twinny
I think we do have to start Doolan this week. Airdrie really struggled with our pace in the 7-0 game from what I heard. Doolan played in that game didn't he? He's much more mobile and his movement will help bring the attacking midfielders into play. Craig becomes a focal point and for him to do his job he needs to be involved, whereas Doolan can stretch the defence more without actually getting the ball, imo. It sounds as though Craig was a little slow the other night too, so giving him a rest and giving Doolan a start seems like a win-win.
