Well we are certainly becoming predictable....

Good first half and wasted chances to go 2 up

Second half we just got worse and worse, couldn't hold the ball and gave it away far too cheaply

Gallagher.....why would you reinstate fox? Ridiculous none of our players followed up the penalty

O' Donnell ....shaky defensively in the second half

Defence looked better except we got deeper and deeper

fraser ok but guilty of giving the ball away

Taylor worked his socks off but was clearly tired in the second half and could have been replaced

Midfield where the issues lie

All well till Elliott came on ......!

It mightn't have impacted on the final result but Archie's judgment in leaving Taylor on for the full 90 minutes despite him being dead on his feet after an hour was very poor. He wasn't able to make any sort of impact on the game and was far more obviously in need of a rest than either Lawless or Fraser, who went off far earlier than he eventually intended Doolan to come on. It now means Taylor will be lucky if he can put in a half hour shift on Tuesday and Doolan goes longer still without proper game time.

As for the game itself, I want to see the penalty decision again but I don't think, generally, we can blame the officials for today's result. Time and again we put in a solid or acceptable first hour then inexplicably capitulate to absolute dross in the latter stages. Killie are a rubbish side and if we had any discipline about us at all we'd be humping them.

Higginbotham's goal was nice to see. I think Gallagher and Mair both had decent games too.

Gucking futted after that!! Was gonna go for a few pints after the game but that has knocked the stuffing out of me. One way traffic in the 1st half and for 30 minutes in the 2nd then we went to sleep, fell deeper and deeper and I dont think anyone didnt see the goal coming. That 2 points instead of 9 against that lot when realistically we should have had 9. Killie really are awful which makes the result all the harder to take.On the up side Higgy was fantastic today and Mair, without doing anything special looked OK. Dreadful result given the County and Midden scores

The midfield problems start in the centre, with Craigen. He gets in others' way (particularly Bannigan's), he doesn't tackle and he doesn't score. On a few occasions today, he was lucky to get the ball to a teammate after being muscled off it.

The management response to the game was dreadful. Taylor was dead on his feet after being pushed, jostled and fouled as the sole striker, but Doolan was kept on the bench. By the middle of the second half, the team was playing like a lower-league side out for an adventure in a cup final - against a team largely inferior to them! Instead of bringing on Forbes to take control and keep the ball on the ground, they resorted to head tennis and punts up the park.

What are these players doing in training? Their goalkeeper saves a penalty, and no-one rushes to put the ball out! As usual, we gain nothing from set pieces, despite winning more corners. The players are keen to complain after being fouled, instead of playing to the whistle - immediately giving an advantage to the opposition. This is real schoolboy stuff.

Well, it certainly looks like we're determined to be in that playoff spot this season. For most of the game we played very well and were totally dominant. Totally dominant, however, after our usual fashion in not putting the game beyond a frankly rotten Kilmarnock team. The bottom line is that we are simply not good enough.

Why on earth did we allow the 2 Killie players to line up right on the edge of the D ultimately meaning they had a head start start on us if (actually when) Gallagher saved? Watch any game and players fight for that premium position instead we allow them to take pole position and Balatoni meekly lined up alongside (but further away) from the ball. Total lack of professionalism!

Subs killed us.

Fraser right choice to go off but Muirhead came on and once again retreated far far too deep.

Lawless playing well, Elliot provided nothing.

Taylor done after 60 mins of working his arse off, Doolan should have been on.

I like Archie but he needs to improve his in game tactics pronto.

Not acceptable at all. Really wondering if Archie has the ability to effectively change the tactics. No vocal leaders or motivators in the team. No idea who was "captain" today but nobody speaks or makes an effort to organise the team on the park. Fell to bits at the end, nobody was moving and we were just kicking the ball anywhere.

Squad just isn't good enough either. Conrad is hopelessly out his depth at this level.Christie I'm not even sure would start for some first division teams. Conrad wasn't even under a lot of pressure today and just looked so nervy and cumbersome with loose balls or any time the ball was in the air. Not sure with Mair yet, but is St. Mirren rejects basically all we can afford? Thats why we've spent years doing nothing in the lower leagues, no ambition at all.

Gallacher done well right enough.

Not acceptable Archie. No home wins in a really poor league. No Rangers, Hearts a mess, a terrible Killie team etc....

After more than forty years of going to see Thistle man and boy they can still invent new ways to make you feel gutted.

Killie are woeful and we still cant beat them. Honestly cant see us avoiding the play-offs now.

Midfield died in the second half with Fraser and Lawlwss both running out of steam. Fraser, fair enough, but why cant we get more than 60 mins out of Lawless?

Killie are dirty cheatin diving sh1tes .Fat boy Boyde should have twice been booked for diving and fouling. Also a shocking performance from the ref.The penalty was soft but the player was touched.Terrible defending again and also at the penalty after PGs great save.Cant see Fox starting for a while if Gallagher performs like that. His Save from Fatty, one on one ,was exactly the type of goal Fox has been letting in all season

We are ,however , masters of our own downfall again. We did enough to see the game out, but again , as Lambie would say, We Shot ourselves in the elbow.

We gave up passing the ball for hoofing up it the park and I think this was down to nerves more than anything .You could see it seeping into the players as the game went on .

Positives were Mair and Gallagher.Negatives were how bad our passing became as the game went on.

All together now, "................................ITS A HEARTACHE FOLLOWING THE PARTICK............................"

Look at the muirhead coming on into midfield just bring pressure on. We end up with 3 centre halfs no wonder we lost a cheap goal TOO DEEP!!!! Fraser comes of for Elliot lawless behind taylor with craigen banzo sitting that would have seen us through the game NOT a centre half in to midfield!!!! Archie has serious problems trying to see out games. You can sometimes look at the players and correctly so but they're has been to many times the manager subs has killed us!!! Play offs if he doesn't go!!

When you give away a 89th minute penalty, have it saved, and they score the rebound, you know the God's are against you!

I was happy with Archie's initial team selection, and thought it showed real grit to make the decision to drop Fox. But Christ knows what his half time team talk was. We sat back, deeper and deeper, allowing them to press us all over the pitch. Giving a goal away was inevitable. You DO NOT see out a game with half an hour to go, when you're 1-0 up. That is stupid management! Almost identical to last week when we take the foot off the gas in the second half.

Losing faith with the big man in the dugout. Don't think he makes the right decisions during the game to respond to the changes on the park. Absolutely deflated his evening.

Bad changes from Archie. Things in the second half were not great but Killie weren't getting clear cut chances and if we had just stuck it out, I think we would of won. Muirhead came on and stood off far too much and sat far too deep. Elliot came on and manages to relieve no pressure from the defense as well as making no tackles - complete waste.

Gallacher - not much to do but looks very comfortable. Ahead of Fox for me.

O'Donnell - encouraging today, offered more going forward than usual but still defensively a bit wary

Mair - not any better than what we have, looks slow and doesnt win everything. No real complaints though and experience may help.

Balatoni - standard performance from him. Centre back is a real issue for us ATM.

Sinclair - excellent again, will need to see the penalty decision, hope he hasnt thrown the win for us. seemed pointless foul.

Bannigan - I thought he was back to his best, good game

Fraser - good passer, not quite match fit but encouraging and what we need

Lawless - ran himself into the ground, surprisingly physical and helps relieve pressure from the defense

Higginbotham - good goal, if quite lucky. Usual tireless self causing problems, unlucky not to have one of his cut backs come off.

Craigen - I like him and first half when games are open he is good, second half he doesnt have the physical side to compete

Taylor - worked his arse off and helped make room for Lawless/higgy/craigen etc to get forward. Making the difference

Muirhead - sat too deep, losing the shape of the team. Not the right sub

Elliot - please never again.

Positives - bannigan and fraser having a good partnership. At times in the first half we played how we did last season, some excellent passing moves. Gallacher did well. Improvements from O'Donnell.

Negatives - mair wont make much difference, defense is still shaky. Craigen is a bit of a luxury when games get tight. Tactics in second half were out the window and poor subs. Usual story. Killie are the worst team outwith Hearts and we can't beat them.

If Killie had scored earlier in the half then I'm sure they would have gone on to win it.

Like against Ross county we surrendered the midfield to park the bus hoping to see out the game and it has cost us.

These 2 games were our big chance to move away from 11th spot and we've failed badly.

We're heading for the playoffs which I reckon was our target all along.

Thank **** next week we're away and I don't need to go.

It's a sore one to take today, should have been able to see that game out. The dropped points from winning positions have put us in the mix for the play offs all season and it doesn't look like that's about to change anytime soon.

Can't agree that we are certainties for 11th place I still think we are more than capable of competing with the other 3 teams in the mix.

Not sure of the reason but again the midfield fell out of it in the second half, hard to say if they fell out of it then the shape and passing went or the other way about. They worked there socks of in the first half and closed everything down maybe they simply aren't fit enough to keep that workload up. The changes had to be made and you can argue the subs didn't make an impact however the tide had turned before they came on not because they came on. Agree Taylor should have been replaced he was poor most of the game but had no impact in the second half in particular.

Taking the positives 3 key games without defeat a win on Tuesday and we will be well in the mix and building a bit of momentum.

No time to get down let's get behind the team and finally get this monkey off our backs.

Come on the Jags!!

I thought Gallacher was captain today. As others have said Fox has a lot of work ahead of him if he wants to get back into the first team again

Certainly hope that's not true. if a 23-year-old professional footballer cannot recuperate in time for Tuesday he might as well chuck it and go work in a call centre.

Straight reds for 2 St Johnstone players today one of which is their goalkeeper so wont just be us who need to reorganise for this game. In fact the Saints played the majority of todays match with 10 men

He's clearly not match-fit. That doesn't mean he isn't capable. A 3 day turnaround is going to be pushing it when he was overworked today, especially given he will be important to our set-up away at St Mirren.
