The Sons of Somner
Three world class saves at crucial times, one penalty save and an all round calm, assured and professional performance, took a lot of pressure off the defence. Kept us in the game at crucial times. Thought he deserved his own thread, terrific performance. Well done Sir.

peagreenboy
I imagine it would have been a completely different game had they scored that penalty.
angry gaz
He was brilliant today. How he kept the one in the second half out I'll never know but his influence and talking was just as vital today.
partickthedog
Paul must be made of very strong stuff. Twice big Andy Considine thumped into him and both times came off worse
Camallain
Magnificent performance from Paul today and oh boy was he pissed off at that excuse for a referee for awarding Aberdeen the penalty. I look forward to seeing the rerun of that one.
westertonjagfan
The saves today and the one against Motherwell last week were just amazing. What a player and well worth his own thread.
Noel Edmonds
Toss up between him and Taylor, without either I don't think we would've won the match. Honourable mention too to our midfield, all three of whom were excellent, and tireless throughout.
allyo
Harsh to take it away from Taylor but I'm one hundred percent with you on that.
Fearchar
Of the four-man back line, only ATS managed to pull his weight: fortunately, Gallacher made up for them magnificently today, ATS contributed to the attack and Conrad, surprisingly, got on the scoresheet. crazy davie
A heroic goalkeeping performance, the highlight being that save in the second half when they were really pressing.
potty trained
Of the four-man back line, only ATS managed to pull his weight. Rubbish
1 John Lambie
Excellent performance, & as I said on another thread, without doubt our number 1 goalkeeper at the moment. I think he will throw in a howler at some point, he's been prone to that the last few seasons in between excellent performances. Presume he's instilling some confidence in to the defence & is more willing to catch/punch a cross ball than Fox is. Fox is our long-term number one, I'd say, but he should be watching & learning from Gallacher at the moment.
sabbath
Gall was totally outstanding kept us right in the game wi the penalty save when we were right under pressue...but the save from the heider across the face of the goal F**kin magic
Lindau
A number of brilliant performances...Galls, Sinky, Banzo, Lyle but I thought Fraser was magnificent today. It's hard to believe the boy is only 19. He has been a brilliant signing Edited February 22, 2014 by Lindau
The Sunnylaw Jag
I think we have bullied time and again by Aberdeen and Gallagher, had a **** you attitude to them today, that pervaded all through the team eventually. A great goalkeeping performance but also a great Captain's performance.
jags on tour
aye superb from the big man, as someone said had the penalty gone in it would have been a different game and one we would have lost. I have always liked him as a keeper and I did recommend we sign him pre season, but wasn't sure if he had a coaching position at Alloa. Archie can gie me that fiver later on. don't get the comment above about ATS only pulling his weight, I thought the whole back 4 were solid, dunno what happened at their goal right enough.don't think we had a failure in the team at all.
Westend Jag
He was top drawer today...was annoyed though that we didn't seem to learn from the killie game and were flat footed for the re bound...thankfully he saved the day twice. Would have been a different day had that gone in I fear. Also he reminds me of his dad which brings back great memories of watching thistle at kilbowie as a wee boy! Dunfermline Jag
My MOTM today. I thought he was immense throughout, and the foundation of a great team performance.
Dug1e
also wanted to say what Westend Jag said, we need our defenders to believe Gallagher is going to save the pen and beat the forwards in for the rebound. cracking performance from the big man. kennymac29
Bankesy type save today from Rooneys header was unreal, Gallagher was always brilliant against us, now role reversed. Xx

yoda-jag
gallo was excellent today, vocal, assured as well as some superb reflex saves, from back to front some magnificent performances, and sunny makes a very good point ..... I think we have bullied time and again by Aberdeen and Gallagher, had a **** you attitude to them today, that pervaded all through the team eventually. A great goalkeeping performance but also a great Captain's performance. more of the same of today and it'll be a case of play off spot, what play off spot.
