robphil
Confirmed: http://ptfc.co.uk/ne...ns_new_contract assuming higgy is off to pastures new in the summer, this could be a very important 'signing'. i like his gallus-ness (if such a word exists...)

read'n'yell
Didn't expect him to be poached but very good regardless. Certainly catching the eye with the football pundits at the moment. I'd make sure we always have him on a two year deal. Get some goals and he could be in for a good move. Paulo
This is some positive news going in to the weekend. Well done on earning the extension Declan.

Santana
The guy on P&B who posted this is a wind-up merchant so I wouldn't really trust it. Good post.
ThickAsThieves
Good post. One swallow doesn't make a summer... Turns out he was right here but he/you is/are usually a wind-up merchant so I obviously stand by that comment.

mulguy jag
Fingers crossed with the news he has signed an extended contract and that his career flourishes at firhill. Higginbottle has been dross this season and if he does go at the end of season as some folk have mentioned on this forum,I for one wont lose any sleep. Mr Bunny
Couldn't be bothered starting a new thread but I see Duggan has gone out on loan to Dumbarton till the end of the season. His last loan spell was spoiled by injury so this is probably needed. Could be he'll have to do well to get kept on for next season.

This time he's going to a tougher division and the Sons aren't clear of the relegation play offs just yet. Duggan is first team ready in terms of physicality. For all I know he might still fall short in timing runs and positioning but I'll be surprised if fit he doesn't impress with Dumbarton. jim slavin's lunchbox
From memory (which admittedly is not that great) the last decent youngster to come through at firhill is currently our manager, and he only got a game because we were skint! Funnily enough as soon as DUFC became interested we lost him. Sound familiar?! With that in mind as thistle fans we look on with envy at the likes of Hamilton and United bringing through talented players and selling them on for big fees. So it's understandable that we look at mcdaid and are desperate for him to turn into a really good player. I really hope that he does and only time will tell. One thing is for sure, if he does become the player we hope he will, we won't see him sign another contract with us.
ThickAsThieves
You're forgetting Bannigan. I think he's been shocking the last few weeks but there's no denying he's been a great player for us.
