Pish start to the season as per usual. Must be 9 or 10 league defeats on the spin. Defence is absolutely all over the shop, and isn't helped by lack of discipline and the inability to stay/get fit. 10th place will be an achievement in our current situation.

Players have a loser mentality and a lack of actual leadership on the park. Get your finger out Archie and get this sorted, because we aren't getting lucky for the third year in a row!

That was a crazy game of what approximated football. Aberdeen looked as ropey in defence as they did dangerous in attack. I don't think our performance merits some of the wild reactions I've seen on various media. Sammon had an excellent game and we caused them real problems for prolonged periods. Yes, we dropped too deep too early, and yes a couple of the goals were given away cheaply, but we'll only play one team better than Aberdeen this season. We knew when the fixtures were announced that we had a stinking early run of games, so while I'd obviously have preferred us to have picked up a few points, now is certainly not the time to panic.

Can't believe Barton lasted the game. Another match where he continually gave the ball away in dangerous positions, getting the ball stuck under his feet. As a team we need to push out away from the box and close players down to prevent the type of ball in that led to the last goal.

If we want to be taken seriously as a Top-6 club, we need to do a little better than 1 point out of a possible 30. Hamilton have started the season really well which wasn't expected. Even at an early stage, that puts pressure on us.

Ross County after the international break is really an important game. In order for us to get out of this abysmal run of form, Archibald and his players need to stop being a bunch of absolute beta-males, take some bloody responsibility on the pitch, defender ten times better, and stop making excuses like "it's been a tough start to the season", or "we have a lot of players out." This is a hangover from last season where we lost 5 in a row, and it doesn't seem to have gotten any better. Lets just call balls and strikes here, most managers who lose 9 on the spin would be under tremendous pressure and rightly so. I think we have the players to turn it around, and I have faith that Archie can do what he always does, but this is our worst start to a league campaign in how many decades?

Our midfielders let down our attackers and our defence. Aberdeen are a decent team but we didnt give ourselves a chance in the second half the way we played an the kettle was on for their winner. You cant blame the ref either. 'banzo' was conned. It was as much a penalty as the one we never got against celtic and we cried about it. The real question is why did he do that? He should have been hooked at half time. McCarthy must be better than Barton, hes slower than tanker and easier to read than a jazz mag.

Our defending in midfield isn't. That's why opposition players run through it and get shots on target from a distance. There isn't sufficient closing down of opposition players when they're in possession, nor, when we are in possession, do we get up the field quickly enough to pose a threat. Barton and Osman are too slow; Osman and Bannigan are too inclined to foul; Barton is physically and mentally weak, preferring to lie down when caught in possession, in the hope of getting a free kick. Edwards has energy, but, like Barton, poor distribution. Where's the pace supposed to come from, if we keep Elliott at full-back (where he's been doing well)?

Sammon impressed today, not just by his play but also for trying to calm down Erskine, who was being given a going-over by Aberdeen.

Madden should get his jotters for fraternising with players on the pitch: inexcusable. Imagine if that had been one of the ugly sisters. To be fair to Madden, he ignored most of Erskine's (justifiable) anger, but he should have awarded free kicks instead. In the weird world of Scottish match officials, the wrong decision to award a throw-in to Aberdeen near to our penalty-box was "balanced" by awarding us a goal-kick immediately afterwards. Why can officials not consult their so-called assistants if there's any doubt? Are they so egotistical that they hate to admit they ever get it wrong, and are prepared to ruin a game to feed their egos? (Yes, that is a rhetorical question.)

Midfield way too lightweight even when Osmans playing. We lack a Darian McKinnon type player in the middle of the park to snap at players and generally be a dirty bstrd.

Bannigan shambles for the penalty absolutely no danger and no need to push him. Going in 2-1 up makes the second half a completely different contest.

I think everyone in the stadium could see that goal coming apart from Archie. He's so slow at times to change things and is reactive rather than proactive with his subs. Barton should have been hooked 10 minutes before the goal as he was rank yet again and continually gave the ball away. Why take off spittal, albeit near the end when his delivery was causing Aberdeen plenty of problems?

I'm sure when he goes home tonight Bobby Madden will think he had a good game as he got the major decisions right but he seems to be one of the few refs to relish getting booed. The man's an arrogant ass.
