Then why did you say anything at all?! Just because you enjoy letting everyone know how much you're "in the know" and give out wee teases?

My information comes from outside the club.....to let you know things are moving on the training facility front

Seems to have a lot of facilities.

The facilities include:
- Gym
- Fitness Studio
- 6 x 3G 5-a-side Parks
- 3G 11-a-side pitch with 500-seat stadium
- 3 x 3G 7-a-side parks
- Multi-purpose Room
- Cafe/Bar
- Business Centre
- Sauna

I wonder if we would look to invest in an indoor footballing faculty there.

Is it owned by Petershill FC or Glasgow City Council or a combination of the two?

I think the council defo have some involvement

I was told we would become anchor tenants and use it during the day, Glasgow city would use it at night and the community the rest of the time

discussions taking place

It certainly also ticks the box as a community hub.

Relatively close to Firhill and seems to have excellent facilities.

Looks like a good option for the club going forward.

It also has the opportunities for runs back to Firhill after poor performances :whistling:

There is certainly no space for a grass pitch at Petershill park  unless you put it in the car park..

There might be space behind the 5 aside pitches. Basically where the old Petershill Park pitch was.

No idea of the logistics involved in turning that but of ground into a decent standard of training pitch. Or whether Petershill Park is even an option being explored.

No training ground being built. Funds from buying back shares and the area owned by Firhill Developments Limited has put the kibosh on this.

So we'll need to rent going forward.

Disappointed about this on a number of fronts. I thought this was a major step forward for Thistle as a club, not only by providing better training for the senior players and making us more attractive  to sign with, but also making us more attractive to the parents of youngsters when considering offers to sign, not to mention how much more attractive we'd be for clubs looking to put players out on loan.

On another level, I think it's really disappointing that Davie McParland and his family were told that the proposed training ground would bare his name and that this is no longer going to happen. It feels like we've let them down. I hope that in the fulness of time something will be done about rectifying this.
