The team has had a lot of praise the last 2 seasons but are not performing to those levels this season, top 6 looking less likely now. Agree. We really need to win this type of game. Think we should be OK gor 7th but doubtful for 6th. Come on BBG inspire the team.
exiledjag
Watch game on TV. That pitch looks awful. Wow great save (s) by Roberts.
Fawlty Towers
A big game at home today against Montrose with a 4pm kick off, really need 3 points if we are to get in to the top 6 before the split. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/partick-thistle-wfc-v-montrose-wfc-15th-december-2024/#match-preview
Fawlty Towers
A 3-3 draw today. 2-0 up in the first half and then gave away 2 quick goals. Got back ahead in the 2nd half but a wind assisted cross deceived the keeper for the equaliser. We then got a penalty but the wind was so strong it took ages to get the ball spotted and the player then rushed it and pulled it wide. We are 1 point behind Motherwell now with 6 games to go - still a chance but can't afford any further slip ups.
Jaggernaut
The women's team made a few "big" (or at least trumpeted) signings this season, with a view to consolidating a top six place again, and/or improving. But frankly, results haven't been great, and it would take a minor miracle now to finish in the top six. Questions to be raised about whether the manager is the right person for the job? (After all, that is what some people think concerning the men's team!)
Fawlty Towers
A trip to the Granite City today with a 1pm kick off in a big game as we are currently 7th and 8 points ahead of Aberdeen in 9th but they do have 2 games in hand. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/aberdeen-wfc-v-partick-thistle-wfc-22nd-december-2024/#match-preview
Tom Hosie
Left Petershill at 7:45am. Passed inspection at 9am. Arrived Cove at 11am. Game off at noon. Expensive and ultimately pointless afternoon.

Fawlty Towers
No fixture for us today but next Sunday is a big game with us playing Dundee Utd at home as we look to finish this part of the season strongly to get in the top 6 by the time the split comes. Fawlty Towers
We are at home today against Dundee United with a 1pm kick off. This is a game we need to win and hopefully by a decent margin to help the goal difference if we are to get in the top six again. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/partick-thistle-wfc-v-dundee-utd-wfc-26th-jan-2025/#match-preview

topcat
Think there is any chance of another Ladies match being played at Firhill this season? Chance to take my daughters for a few drinks and a match. I know....Petershill Park but I really really hate watching football on plastic surfaces. Jaggernaut
I thought that Thistle's passing game and the use of some forward passes through midfield or over the top were about the best I've seen from them this season. The defence looked solid too, apart from the late lapse.
Fawlty Towers
It is up to Aberdeen this evening for a tough encounter against a team in the same area of the table as ourselves - 3 points a must to have any chance of top 6.
Fawlty Towers
A 0-0 draw so 4 points behind Motherwell in 6th with 3 games until the split and they have the better fixtures so looks like we will have to be "best of the rest". partickthedog
Have not checked in detail but I am sure that head to head we have come out on top against Motherwell. However they have been far more efficient in winning against the bottom 5, whereas we have dropped a number of draws. Although disappointing in some respects, I am wondering if this might provide a more uplifting end to the season. The last two seasons we have done marvellously well to secure 6th place. The “reward” has been a concentrated series of matches against full time teams with stronger squads where any point (sometimes any goal) has been hard won and many games have been more a matter of keeping the score down. The chance to win well and score a few goals may be a means of restoring the feel good factor and then hopefully maintain that winning feeling into the next season. Drew at Tynecastle, then got battered every time. Never recovered.
