fifexile
What's the format in the bottom 6. Is it simply bottom 3 down or are there playoffs?

For this season it is the bottom 3 who will be automatically relegated with the top team for the next tier being promoted to get a 10 team league in place for next season. Not sure of how relegation/promotion is going to work next season.

Fawlty Towers
Victory last night keeps us in 7th place, 9 points ahead of the 3rd bottom team. We are at home on Sunday against Spartans who are 1 point behind us.
Fawlty Towers
A home game against Spartans with a 1pm kick off. Always a tough game against Spartans so will need to be at our best to get 3 points and stay "best of the rest". https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/partick-thistle-wfc-v-spartans-wfc-20th-april-2025/#match-preview
Fawlty Towers
A good 1-0 victory in what was, as expected, a tight game. Keeps us 3 points clear in 7th and 9 points ahead of Montrose in 10th (the final relagation spot). QP and Dundee Utd are already down. Fawlty Towers
Very bad news for the players involved, especially Cara and Lucy. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/injury-update-cara-henderson-lucy-sinclair-and-clare-docherty/ It does seem there are a lot of these sort of injuries in the women's game. I don't know if it is to do with the pitches (all artifical in the top flight) or other factors.

I read recently that Brighton(I think) were planning on building a stadium exclusively for their women’s teams but were doing more research into the causes of the high number of ACL injuries before deciding on the type of playing surface. Fawlty Towers
Lovely evening for a game so hopefully we can beat Dundee United and move a bit closer to having safety confirmed (and no injuries). https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/partick-thistle-wfc-v-dundee-utd-wfc-30th-april-2025/#match-preview

Fawlty Towers
It is an away trip to Aberdeen today with a 1pm kick off. A win today would put us 8 points ahead of them with only 3 games remaining and depending on Montrose's result we could confirm another season in the top flight. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/aberdeen-wfc-v-partick-thistle-wfc-4th-may-2025/
partickthedog
The PTFC Women's team must really be annoying @Auld Jag. In 7th place in the league table, but already got 5 points more than Motherwell in 6th place. At least a win today would prevent Aberdeen in 8th place from leaping above Motherwell in the points tally as well.
Fawlty Towers
A 2-0 defeat today so whilst we still sit in 7th the gap has narrowed to 2 points. Looking for Spartans to take something off Montrose later today.

Have i ever told you how i feel about playing out from the back, we can discuss it on Tuesday night.
Fawlty Towers
Unfortunately (for us) Montrose beat Spartans. I have posted a link to the table, if we beat Montrose at Petershill on Sunday we will be safe (a draw might be enough depending on their result midweek against Aberdeen). 7 points from the last 3 games should get 7th as I can see Aberdeen winning their last 3 but our advantage in GD gives us the edge. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/scottish-womens-premier-league/table Edited May 4 by Fawlty Towers

Falkirk did rather supply grist to your mill in the way they conceded the first goal to us last Friday!

Can't remember which Raith Rovers goal it was, either their 3rd or 4th i think was caused by Queens park trying to play out from the back.
