Tonight's results make it simple for us - win our next two games (Montrose at home on Sunday then QP at home midweek) and we will finish 7th (and safe). A draw on Sunday will sees us safe but will make finishing 7th a bit harder.

The final home weekend game of the season and it will be a tough one against a Montrose side fighting for their survival. They were close to beating Aberdeen midweek (only denied by a 95th minute equaliser) so we will have to be at our best. If we do win or draw then we are safe but a win would really help with the other target of finishing 7th.

A hugely disappointing performance and result today with a 1-0 defeat. Can't remember the team playing so badly. Making it very nervy now.

If I am reading the table correctly, we need 1 point from our final 2 games to be sure of safety. We really must get that from our midweek home game v relegated Queens Park. We do not want to be relying on our last away game to Spartans, who will be equally in need of points to stave off relegation, especially as Montrose finish with a home game against bottom side Dundee United.

Huge credit to Montrose, who have come with an incredible run.

We make them look like Chelsea.

I would have to confess that I did not watch today's game, so I cannot really comment on either team's performance today. My comment was more as regard the run of excellent results Montrose have put together over the last number of weeks.

However, I am sure that you are right!

Not quite on topic, but nowhere else to post this, and not worthy of a thread of its own.

I thought that Hibernian were top of the SWPFL, but I must have been mistaken as they have only 1 player in the Scotland squad named today, whereas Rangers have 6.

Surprise, surprise.

Even without the issues around the management of the men's team I thought this might be the case (actually thought after last season's top 6 plus league cup final he might leave on a high).

Next season will be tough with the league going to 10 teams and there being an already well established full time top 5. Will be interesting to see who gets the job.

Last game of the season for us today away to Spartans (2pm kick off). We are looking to win to secure 7th place and given the manager a nice send off. Spartans will be assuming they need at least a draw to stay up as Montrose should win their game so will be interesting.

Also, good luck to former Thistle player Linzi Taylor as her current club could win the title today.

Congratulations to Hibs on winning the title, and to former Thistle player Linzi Taylor for scoring the decisive goal against Rangers. Glasgow City finished second and so locked the OF out of the European qualification places. So refreshing!

Girls squeak 7th place with a 2-1 win!

That seems a fitting conclusion to Brian Graham's tenure as manager. Very good and clinical result considering that it was away from home and that Spartans needed a draw to survive. One can imagine that it must have become fairly tense towards the end, and that it would have been easy to crumble given that there was less at stake for Thistle than for Spartans.

Montrose fans will have been humming the Great Escape theme tune!

towards the end not towards the event!
