Fawlty Towers
A 6-0 defeat in which the last 3 goals came in a 9 minute spell, we also lost 2 quick goals at the end of the first half.

Yes - apart from that, the girls put up a good fight. Unlike the boys.
Fawlty Towers
Final game before the split away to Queens Park with a noon kick off. A chance for us to get 3 points and start the post split fixtures with a decent advantage over the other teams in that section. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/queens-park-wfc-v-partick-thistle-wfc-2nd-march-2025/#match-preview

Albert's Ghost
0-0. Ahead in all the stats, except the one that matters.

Yes, stats seem to indicate we were on top but just could not get the goal. It means we start the post split fixtures as "best of the rest" buit Aberdeen are just behind us. In this league you play the other teams home and away so another 10 games to go.
Woodstock Jag
Four Foundation match-worn signed shirts from the Women's team's victory against Dundee United are going up for auction on TJF's shop. They're not the mud-stained classics served-up by the men's team but that's the synthetic surface at Petershill for you! The funds raised from this will be over and above TJF's £5,000 pledge for the 2024-25 season. Members can place a bid here - the auctions go live at 8am today and close Sunday 23rd March at 11pm GMT: https://thejagsfoundation.co.uk/shop/auctions/

Fawlty Towers
Our first post split fixture is away to Montrose today with a 1pm kick off. Hopefully we can get a few wins in the final 10 games which ends the season on a more positive note. This season because of reconstruction 3 teams go down so we just need to make sure we keep ourselves ahead of those teams and 3 points today would be a good start. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/montrose-wfc-v-partick-thistle-wfc-16th-march-2025/#match-preview https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/scottish-womens-premier-league/table

JAG1970
I wonder if BG doing 3 jobs is having an impact on preparation and results ….

I don't think they have chucked it but with Graham having to miss training sessions or only be there for part of the session it can't be easy. Looks like the women's team is having to pay the price for the men's team improving. Anyway, a disappointing 2-0 defeat away to Montrose which means we need to be aware that relaegation is a possibility.
Fawlty Towers
A free weekend as it was the League Cup final yesterday but back to action with a home game against Aberdeen next Sunday.
Fawlty Towers
Back to action today with a big home game against Aberdeen, kick off 1pm. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/partick-thistle-wfc-v-aberdeen-wfc-30th-march-2025/
Fawlty Towers
A 2-1 defeat today with another fairly medicore (compared to the last 2 seasons) performance. Still have a 7 point gap over in terms of relegation with 8 games to go but need to be playing better.
Albert's Ghost
Agreed - but Aberdeen are pretty good. We were 2nd best there.
Jaggernaut
Looked to me that we had no real equivalent of, or way of dealing with, Aberdeen's strong runs right through the midfield. Too many of our passes (of which there appeared to be too many) were poor (and that's being kind). A real drop in form in the team this season. Not disagreeing with you at all, but I would perhaps tend to frame it more from the perspective that the team hugely over-achieved in the past couple of seasons, especially last season. In the early part of this season, we were conceding a lot of draws in games we would hope to have won. That did seem fixable, and I was hopeful that our bottom 6 campaign would provide the opportunity to get back into gear with a series of wins. Unfortunately we are now starting to lose these sorts of games which is rather concerning.
BowenBoys
Perhaps, with the manager's focus being on elsewhere, he's lost the dressing room.

There could well be something in that. If the team feels that the manager isn't 100% committed to them, even if he's trying to show otherwise, then that could influence performances on the pitch, even though they appear to be trying not to let it get to them. partickthedog
I think that the loss of Emma Lawton has been huge. She was an absolute stand-out as has been proved by her subsequent international success.

Also losing Linzi Taylor who is showing how good a player she is at Hibs combined with key players from the last 2 seasons like Cara Henderson and Rachel Donaldson not hitting the heights this season (although injuries have played a part in that).
Fawlty Towers
Just a reminder that there is no game this weekend due to the national side being in action. Back next Sunday for the start of a busy run of games which will hopefully see us pick up the points that will make sure we are still a top flight team next season. Fawlty Towers
Back to action today with an away game against Dundee United (4pm kick off). One we should be winning as they have only 4 points from 24 games but it will still need us to play our part. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-fixture/dundee-utd-wfc-v-partick-thistle-wfc-13th-april-2025/#match-preview
Fawlty Towers
A victory today but made it hard for ourselves going from 4-1 up at half time to ending up 4-3 but an important 3 points. We are now back to "best of the rest" and have a 9 point advantage over Montrose in the final relegation place.
