Club before playerΒ

I agree with this in principle. However managing the club means managing the players. It's not really either/or, especially when you're talking about the captain and a leader in the squad. Keep them fit, keep them happy, they'll do a job for the team.

Sure….i just worry that at 37 Graham playing every minute of Β every game might come to bite us later in the seasonΒ

Fair enough. It's a balance. Suppose the manager is paid to make these decisions

And how motivated would the player be if taken off while on a hat trick ? I think it was in the club interest to keep him on.

I don’t think motivation is an issue for Graham to be honest …..but he never comes off which I’m not sure is in his best interests or the clubs….but it’s an opinionΒ

We needed that, cherry on the cake was Lawless coming on.Β

I’ve been critical of Doolan, hoping I’ve been completely wrong and this is our big run of results.

So you have been wrong? I've just had a brief read of the thread on the Hamilton game ( think it was the last game we lost ). Not many of the posters who called for his head have said much as the current momentum has built. Strange that.Β

BBG wouldn't have been happy with Robbo matching him on league goals and showed great fortitude to score despite knowing he'd take a note.

Shame the resident sealion (on ignore can't see that).

The score tells you everything you need to know about the game. From the first minute we started on the front foot. Like last week we scored early on, although their keeper should have saved it. Unlike last week we went 2 up and Hamilton did not look like scoring, tho they did hit the bar, then on half time we gave a very poor goal away. Thankfully we restored our 2 goal advantage 5 minutes into the second half and then it was a case of how many we could score. Everybody gets pass marks and imo Turner had one of his best games for a while. On to Greenock next, which again won't be easy, but after today's performance and the current run we are on we should travel with confidence. I said a few weeks that Robinson is a very important player for us and i don't think that it is just coincidence that BBG is getting goals now that Roninson is back in the team.

I agree Robinson being back on form has been key. Equally Banzo has been damn good ( and yes sometimes I wish he was a bit more forward thinking ), plus the cameo from Stevie L augurs well. Keep this up and we will be in the mix.Β

Perhaps the most encouraging thing is feeling a bit disappointed we only scored five and that there is scope for improvement on the performance. We started with real verve but then dropped intensity before conceding a comedy goal with several bad decisions from a good attacking position...I had just been thinking that Roberts would surely be caught out some time this season by being too casual with clearances.

Hamilton looked awful...and not just their strips. A huge contrast between Ashcroft defending his box and fairly easy goals we scored. They look a relegation zone side and we are improving into strong play-off candidates...and maybe Falkirk will falter.

Still don't see any merit in Crawford...Turner & McBeth were more effective in their short spells in midfield. Good to see Lawless back.

Ashcroft was outstanding today. He was my motm but on a day we score 5 it had to go to a forward and no complaints as Robbo gave us a great start a played well throughout.Β

Also Logan Chalmers is really improving which is good to see. It will be interesting to see if Dools changes things around to accommodate both him and Stevie. Especially as Fitzy isn’t at his best just now (even with a great assist for the 5th)
