ifu02348
Brian Kerr, Mickael Antoine-Curier, Eric Paton, Dominic Shimmin, Njazi Kuqi, Paul McHale, Scott Fox, Colin McMenamin and Charlie Grant are the players who have had their contracts terminated. Â We really dont have the budget to sign any of them... if we did, who would be worth a punt signing.... failing that... where do you think they will go... SirJohnLambie
Would love to see McMenamin in a Jags top - if only we had the money, but could see him signing for QOS or Morton.

That's my fear.  Instead, we've wasted what little money we have on a 33 year old crock who is only coming to get fit enough to play for St Johnstone. Dick Dastardly
Shimmin will go to a struggling SPL club - St.Mirren, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen. Kuqi will head back down south to a League 1 or League 2 side.  I don't want any of them as we can't afford them.

Although I fully understand what people were saying in the other topic relating to the clubs finances, what baffles me is if McMenamin goes to Morton, for example, they also have Weatherston. W can't afford him along with having a striker who's leg is finished (buchanan that is) and supplementing our squad with inexperienced coaches and old players. northernsoul
I'd rather play McGeough ahead of any of the defenders, MacBeth ahead of the midfielders and Burns ahead of the strikers mentioned in that list above.
Third Lanark
Dunfermline seem to be interested in a couple according to the press. Â Wouldn't eb surprised if Morton get a couple. A bit ironic that Davie Rae of Morton was slagging Dundee off at the weekend for overspending. When you consider the attendances Morton are getting which are lower than ours they have for the last few years been considerably over spending with players and oruchasing Managers ie Irons from Gretna, Moore from Stirling Albion. Â Apart from Falkirk, Dunfermline and previously Dundee they spend more than anyone else in the divison a bit of pot calling the kettle black from Rae's comments to an extent. lady-isobel-barnett
Anyone else think it's kinda immoral sacking their own players yet retaining loan players? I understand the administrator calls the shots and thus it'll be a commercial decision but it just seems, to me anyway, incorrect. Pie Of The Month
In the summer I'd have taken Eric Paton but Boyle and our Paton have done well. Â I never thought I'd ever type a sentence praising Boyle and Paton.
