Third Lanark
All the best to Jackie and Simon in their new roles. Really pleased that Jackie has been given his chance and may he be a great and long serving Partick Thistle Manager
Mr Bunny
All the best to Jackie and Simon in their new roles. Really pleased that Jackie has been given his chance and may he be a great and long serving Partick Thistle Manager Glad they got this done quickly, means the manager can start carrying out plans right away (or at least as soon as he gets back from the ascent). Hope when he leaves us (as they all do eventually) it's because success had attracted the interest of a big club.
lady-isobel-barnett
Echo above sentiments. I take it that Ian Cameron is still in place. No reason to doubt he isn't just it wasn't mentioned on official site.
McKennan
They're green. I hope this is a success but the odds are against. Not that the odds ever bothered us. Good luck lads. (A 'boom'?)
ian_mac
I'll happily give them a chance. I know we have been down the young manager route before but there were a lot of differences in the last case. For a start, joint management - never works. At least now everyone knows the buck stops with Jackie. Secondly, I think it's much better to test the water in Division 1 than the SPL. Thirdly, Derek Whyte is a complete pr*ck! Grant Tierney's tackle
Thirdly, Derek Whyte is a complete pr*ck! Well said that man. Get in there Jackie. I have a real good feeling about this one.

Alan Murray
http://www.ptfc.co.uk/news/2010-2011/may_2011/the_new_manager_talks_to_wwwwptfccouk Jackie will be speaking to John Robertson, Paddy Boyle, Ross McGeough, Kyle Lochhead and Iain Flannigan. No Hodge and obviously Jackie has a different opinion on Kyle Lochhead. Has Hodge signed elsewhere or does Jackie not rate him? I thought Roberson would be offered a new deal given he is so versatile, but will he accept the terms? Sorry missed Tommy Stewart and Rowson. Dick Dastardly
No Rowser ? Maybe a deal is already on the table. Edit - Just read the article Edited May 12, 2011 by Dick Dastardly
lady-isobel-barnett
Perhaps Hodge signed a pre contract elsewhere before his injury. Can't see him attracting many offers since he's been injured.

Dont want to be to negative today but not to sure about re signing Robertson. Definetly not been his best season and he will be another year older, plus a few concerns about him being more injury prone. Will see what happens though McNamara's decision at the end of the day
1 John Lambie
I spoke to Robbo at the POTY & he seemed confident that if Jackie got the job, he'd get a new deal. I think he still has another season in him.

The Earl of Hathaway
Feel pretty good about this - I think McNamara has got it and will be a success. Absolutely NO reason to think so, just feel it in my watter. All the best to Jackie and Sid.
Vom Itorium
Glad we are keeping some continuity about the club and just hope now that the Board and us as fans can help get some money into the pot to allow Jackie and Sid to make their mark on the squad. We all really need to do every little bit we can now to make sure that money gets into the club to allow us to challenge next season. We have the basis of a decent squad in place and if we can sign up the likes of Rowser, Robbo and Stewart and Jackie, Sid, Cammy and the King of Spain can keep bringing the youngsters on we really can get involved in next season's title battle. Every club is seriously going to have to cut their cloth next season and the fact we have the basis of our squad in place and that they've been together could really hold us in good stead. Let's all get behind what ever initiative the club brings us during the summer and do our bit to help Jackie and Sid get us playing good, attractive football next season and help bring the crowds back to Firhill. I also much prefer the glass half full view. If the above happens, added to a couple of fresh faces (in the BMMMH mould) in the team (or even the youth players becoming such terrier-fighting-til-the-end-playing-for-jersey-type-players), it could be a very enjoyable season following the Jags.
