thornwoodjag
According to Harry Wraggs, Ryan Macbeth has been released. All the best young man.
twinny
Shame as there was talk about him being half decent, and injury stopped his development. Hope he's fit enough to make it at a lower level (or even a higher level if its possible) or got something to fall back on. GrantB
Sorry to hear McBeth has left. I remember watching him in the youth cup final at Livingston when he was just back from a week's training with Bolton and thinking we had a right good prospect. Jaggernaut
I thought that he looked like a really good prospect. Best of luck to him. Wonder if he'll come back to bite us at some point (they often do).
Phoenix
Remember the days when he was going to be sold for big money?
jaggy
spoke to a guy who grew up with him recently, and he said he was always injured. sounds like the boy is pretty jinxed
lady-isobel-barnett
Nice lad so i really hope he does well. Always enjoyed my chats with his Dad at various under19/reserve games. Really believe he has the talent but just shows how precarious a football career can be, .Terrible age in the lad's development to be plagued by injury. Members Willjag
Best of luck to Ryan. Hope he can get some enjoyment out of the game at whatever level he ends up.
Alan Murray
Shame for the lad, but it was always going to be difficult due to the amount of time he spent injured.
Third Lanark
Shame to see things never worked out for young Ryan. All the best for the future mate, except when you are playing against us
chunky jag
Always a shame when a player has persistent bad luck with injuries, particularly one so young. Thought he looked no bad on the few occasions I saw him, looked physically more suited to professional football than say Bannigan or Burns. The one I do remember thinking is that he looked to be running a wee bit flat footed, which is asking for recurring injuries. Did anyone else notice this? All the best to him whatever he does

Somehow I don't think this will be the last such "dignified" exit in the months ahead.
PaleGreySky
Interesting to see Paton has said 'there's a reason why he never played' in a dig at MacBeth in response to this. Obviously not pals.
jags on tour
he was never going to take the place of rowser or cairney but i can see why he's pissed when macnamara is bringing other teams youngsters (hutton and welsh) and paton are playing in the midfield ahead of him and he isnt geting a look in. there must be something more to it. Jaggernaut
Interesting to see Paton has said 'there's a reason why he never played' in a dig at MacBeth in response to this. Obviously not pals. Where is that dig quoted? Might it be that MacBeth was injury-prone, and that PP is just stating the obvious? Or am I being "naive"? jags on tour
patons quote was on twitter. when i first read it i thought they must have fallen out, macbeth says he has been fit for 4 months so i doubt paton was talking about an injury?
