Lindau
Plenty of ex jags on the play off scoresheets today. Scott Chaplain, John Gemmell and Martin Grehan
Lindau
Ayr playing with 10 men for most of the game according to the updates. Guy sent off after 17 mins and they finished with 9 men!
Guy Incognito
Gutted. A trip to Abroath might have been some consolation, but instead it'll either be a trip to Dumbarton's one sided wonder or the knuckledraggers' legoland effort. uberteeb
Nightmare final, at least with Airdrie we can pretend it's a 'big game'.
Lenziejag2
A season in Division 2 will give Ayr United time to get their toilets up to standard! How about getting Morton relegated next season with the same objective in mind?
Steven H
Awww feck, I live in Airdrie and they played in a lower division for the most part. Moving to Ayr soon, and the buggers get relegated Edited May 12, 2012 by Steven H

Guy Incognito
At least if the scum come up it will give us somebody to hate. This is true. I have developed a strong dislike for both Dundee and Falkirk, but it just isn't the same. Don't ever move to Maryhill!!!! lady-isobel-barnett
One positive is my wallet and liver should be pleased with these terrible away games. At my age the liver thing is marginal (too much damage done already) but yeh I suppose the financial side is a bonus.of sorts. At least games with the scum would have a bit of atmosphere. No it won't. Unless of course their long disappeared support return from G51. Added pressure on McNamara. With limited enjoyment of virtually all away games results will be all the more crucial. Buckstone
What happens if Rangers are in Div 3 next season (now there's a pleasant thought). And not beyond the realms of possibility. Presumably the Pars stay up, County go up, and Cowdenbeath replace them. So do Queens still go down, to be replaced by the play-off winners ? And do Ayr stay up ? Certainly hope so, living just a couple of miles away .....

Buckstone
The finalists in the play off final both get promoted. B*gger. Thought that might be the reply. In that case, think Div 1 will be like 2 min-leagues next season. Hopefully with us in the top half ......

(Full time is deamed to be the end of the league season and all fixtures fullfilled). For other leagues, it is both play off finalists who get promotted. In other words, Dundee's twin strategy of getting heavily into debt (again) and tax evasion will have been rewarded with promotion.
ian_mac
The Airdrie rivalry is dead, quite simply because Airdrie themselves are dead. Can't see there being any decent atmosphere at the 4 games next season unless the casuals from both sides re-ignite it. Say what you like but the casuals do create atmosphere on both sides. JeanieD
Just watched a bit of Dumbarton v. Airdrie United on ALBA - 2-1 to Dumbarton. Suspect that home advantage on Sunday will see Airdrie United promoted - they seemed the slightly better team.
