lady-isobel-barnett
Apart from the extra click to get past the Halloween page, I find it not bad at all.
Junior
How about creating a mobile version with all the pics and stuff cut out ? Relatively easy to do. Should also be looked at for this forum TBH as the option is there but not enabled as far as I can see
One t in Scotland
PTFC have never had a good website design and this carries on the tradition.
JeanieD
It might be worth the club updating the fixtures - Dundee are no longer in division 1 - as I recall they replaced the now defunct Glasgow Rangers in the SPL.
Mediocre Pundit
If they could just drop the wallpaper behind the website it would be much better - just make it white...

Lin1876
I can't get full screen for the videos now By that you're implying you used to be able to get full screen, in which case I think you may be Jesus.

RabTheJag
I know this isnt a major thing, but would it be difficult to make it so that the live text commentary page automatically refreshes say, every 2 minutes? I seem to remember the Dundee website does this on their text update page. Or am I just being lazy?
madcapmilkdrinker
By that you're implying you used to be able to get full screen, in which case I think you may be Jesus. Full screen would be nice however given a few years ago we were about to get charged for the privilege of viewing them I'm not complaining. mgow
Weirdly, the night before the changes first appeared I was looking at the site and thinking that the logos etc. were all several years old and depicted player in the old hoops top. Broadly speaking, I think the changes are positive and it is good to see effort being put into the web site – thanks to those who gave their time (as I suspect it would be volunteers). There are a few niggly items that I am hopeful will evolve over time. Here is some feedback to those it may concern: Initial splash page – to me it works best if it is highlighting something very specific and isn’t there all the time (e.g. our current one should include a link to buy the purple strip and then drop off in a week or so). The SFA use one to good effect when tickets for Scotland fixtures go on sale. A few clicks too many – Unless you can hover over the links at the top (which I can’t work out how to do on my mobile device), clicking the main link (e.g. “Teams & Fixtures”) requires about 4 clocks to get to the real info. These links should go to the most likely / current info, with additional links to get historical stuff. Matchday Info link – While retaining the link at the top, in the final few days before a home game we need a big & prominent button to press that takes you to a single page with the key info about attending the next game / all kids go free etc. Info on stands – we need a diagram that gives the names of the stand in relation to street names etc. Google maps doesn’t tell you were the Jackie Husband (North End) really is Video – it is great feature and I really like the additional angles and emerging use of replays. However, the video from the likes of Queens Park shows just how much further we could improve full screen, compatibility for other devices / browsers , controls to rewind accurately etc

Obanjag
I like it but I thought our colours were Red, Yellow and Black. We seem to be seeing a lot of this Black and Purple change strip so far this season. Let's see at least one player in Red and Yellow on the homepage. Members Willjag
Just for clarification - this wasn't a onethistle effort, it was the club. Surprised that the Club still hasn't realised there are fans out there that are capable of creating a really good website. I might be biased but I think Lianne showed in the past what was possible with PTFC.net, however, unfortunately the Clowns running the Club couldn't see what was under their nose even when assistance was offered. I would have thought the current board might have been a little more savvy. Paying for this sort of stuff isn't always the best solution. Administrators Col Posted August 23, 2012 Administrators Report Share Posted August 23, 2012 They have now got a fan as website manager, but just pointing out that this hasn't changed over yet, and onethistle had no involvement in the new design. Vom Itorium
The new site's grown on me and I'm sure it's been changed to this layout in an attempt to make it easier to update more than anything else. What's concerning me more is the design of the cover of the matchday programme, it's rancid.
Allan Heron
The new site's grown on me....... Have you reported that it's been infected with a virus?
Ancipital
Just a wee constructive comment- when there's a lot of news , the stories disappear off the front page too quickly. If I were just casually browsing the front page I wouldn't know we'd signed Steven Craig for example, and that was announced less than 8 hours ago. I know you can rotate the second picture story but I don't know whether it's worth getting rid of the "2 games ago" game e.g. Dumbarton at the moment and sticking more headlines underneath. Members Willjag
I made a comment about the links to match reports not working on another thread a couple of days ago and it was working the next day, So whoever is looking after it is probably looking on here, so well done for sorting that out so quickly. Junior
Just noticed the ability to scroll through the news stories as well , think they need to make some of the buttons/markers a wee bit bigger and bolder so that us blind ******** can see them.
