Lambies Lost Doo
Don't think the club has much money for pre season tours. Sorry to be the spoil sport. Maybe down to the army base & away days in Scotland. Personally it would be good to have a link up with a welsh team after their fans were at Firhill. Guy Incognito
Lancaster City at their excellently named Giant Axe stadium would be a good away day. Maybe not the most illustrious of opponents, but it is easy to get to on the intercity choo and it is a lovely wee ground too.
kni
I believe as part of Aaron Muirhead signing for the Jags we are due to play a pre season down at Annan Has anyone heard if this has been confirmed? No but it's a good day out.
Fawlty Towers
There is an update on the website about the work being done on the pitch and because of that it is expected that there will only be one home friendly but we might have a game in the north of England as the team return from its training camp. The Earl of Hathaway
In the Lake District at the end of July, so a wee Pre-season in Cumbria would be good. Anywhere but Barrow...

twinny
Anywhere near the M6 will do me. I imagine it'll be the 3.5 hour drive to Blyth though.
Ancipital
Assuming that's the training camp in Catterick again? If that's our first pre season game then it'll probably be another non league team. For the sake of a day out, somewhere on the main train lines would be decent, maybe Carlisle. Just have to wait and see.
yoda-jag
we might have a game in the north of England as the team return from its training camp. Catterick. Then stop off on way back up road to play Blyth. Followed by away games to Stirling, Dumbarton and Clyde. Home game v same Man Utd 3rd string being sent north by Fergie/Moyes to play Dunfermline. lady-isobel-barnett
Then stop off on way back up road to play Blyth. Blyth would be excellent but only if the pitch was up to it. Was a farce last visit.
Ancipital
if we played Morton, I'd break my rule of not going to pre season games against SFL sides- the gloat factor would be amazing. Can't see it happening though. My pre-season bingo is Gateshead (A) Dumbarton (A) Ayr (A) Alloa (A) League 1 side (H)
jagfox
I heard on the radio that Ipswich Town are planning to play a match against St Mirren and they would like another game in the area. If the pitch was ready would be a decent run-out against a fair to middling Championship team. Shame the Arr Craib Cup has come to an end. I guess we'll just have to beat the Jungles in the league instead
David Stevenson
I think we will play Morton in a pre season friendly, not heard any rumours but just a hunch Last time I remember playing them pre-season, Jean-Yves Anis was flattering to deceive...... I hope this season turns out better than that one!

If the Firhill pitch is not ready, we should consider playing friendlies at other stadia.

kni
Pardon? I don't understand your puzzlement as we will be playing a few friendlies away from home. If our pitch is not ready, it would make sense to play at another stadium in Glasgow. It should bring in more money, especially if our opponents are a "big" club, and give more fans the opportunity to see our new signings.
