lady-isobel-barnett
In the league matches when Doolan scored the average temperature was 11.6C at kick off, whereas in games when Taylor scored the average was a measly 9.7C. Dools may have scored more per minutes played but before jumping to conclusions I really think the relatively mild winter should be considered. read'n'yell
Forgot the mere suggestion Doolan isn't Scotlands best striker is illegal on the forum.

Juan Carlos I
He's Thistle's best striker by a distance
read'n'yell
To be fair we don't know what Eccleston can do. He's scored one and set up another in next to no game time. Obviously Doolan is our best striker until proven otherwise but I think he deserves a game or two.
jagfox
John Baird started our victory at St Mirren park last season. Then again we were one down when he was hooked and we went on to win the game in the last ten minutes

Firhillista
From the little game time he's had so far, I'm not sure what Ecclestone brings to the team. He seems to have pace and his positional play is good, but there's been absolutely no sign that he offers any goal threat. There's probably a bit of the 'grass is always greener' about wanting him to start before Doolan, but, for me, Doolan offers a lot more. Goal today would be nice... Lindau
I'll agree that Eccleston should get a shot IF the management team deem he is fit enough. If he isn't injured then there is something seriously wrong at Firhill if he isn't fit enough as we approach November next weekend! Re the Doolan/Taylor argument the major plus point was that we had two excellent strikers on the books, something that we haven't had at Firhill on a regular basis. The Sunnylaw Jag
I just hope the weather doesn't turn it into a bit of a lottery today, on form we should beat St. Johnstone, but on days like theses form goes out the window. Mind you that's probably true of Firhill all the time.
stillresigned
Thistle are reverting to type and living up to the 'great unpredictable' tag,, I for one couldn't predict just what sort of performance we'll see today. Here's hoping that it'll build on the last do and be a win!
potty trained
Really looking for us to control this game. The Motherwell one was easy to predict, they are a disgrace right now. The Super J's, I just don't know. As fringe players are getting more of a run, it's hopefully bringing back that 1st div championship mentality of everyone in it together. 11 players. Looking for a big game from Banzo, it was clear last week that he's still not back to full fitness, hopefully he'll be sharper today. Really want a big vocal support. Jaggernaut
Maybe a yawn fest. A draw would not be a disaster, but a win would be excellent at this stage.
