Lambies Lost Doo
Really surprised how it's not worked out for Murray. He did really well at Dumbarton beforehand.
Third Lanark
I wonder if Steven Thompson is a disruptive influence in that dressing room, I'm probably wrong but since the end of Danny Lennon there seems to be saints players not trying and Thompson has been rumoured to be the next new manager
jags on tour
I think it must be a wind up but loads of folk on twitter saying Maxi is off to St Mirren? why would they want to appoint someone with no experience who has been running our hospitality for the last few years. that appointment would make no sense at all! JeanieD
On the topic of managers I notice the sainted "Dick" has left Forfar after 7 years.

I'm sure there'll be a coaching job for him within our youth academy. So Murray to Alloa? Danny to Forfar?

ian_mac
That is an utterly dreadful appointment. We probably have more in common with St. Mirren than we do with any other club in Scotland (in terms of size of club, locality, fanbase etc). And they seem to be exactly where we were exactly 10 years ago - facing the very real prospect of back to back relegations. It really does show how lucky we are at the moment. Totally agree Ian, I said the exact same thing to someone yesterday. Sad to see the decline of what is my 'local team' but feck them come cup day ! Lenziejag
Actually,I don't think you can say with certainty whether an appointment will work or not. Who would have thought that Ian Murray wouldn't have done well. I am certainly nervous that some supporters are writing him off just as we are about go visit. Or for that matter that Archie would have done so well and is now 2nd longest serving manager in Scotland.
Jaggernaut
With all the talk about players getting contract extensions, what about Archie? Is he on a long-term contract? If not, he should be!
