Welcome to WAT72 score prediction league.

Free entry to everyone that has contributed to Player Sponsorship this season. Winner gets Chris Duggan's Home top.

This is the big one. 72 players, 8 rounds of matches.

Changes from usual format:

As there is a lot going on at HQ at the moment I will NOT be sending out weekly fixtures by PM. I will post them here.

After I have posted them, you should post your predictions here, NOT by PM.

Entries must be posted in correct format or they will not be accepted.

I will strictly enforce the deadline.

The Rules

Predict the scores for 48 Premier League games. Three points awarded for predicting the correct scores, one point for predicting the correct result. One extra point for predicting the correct score in a Jags win. Player with the most points at the end gets Chris's top.

The competition will begin with the fixtures due to be played on 19 March and will run until all the games currently scheduled up to 14 May have been played.

There will be 72 competitors, each with one entry.

I will post here a list of the fixtures weekly, with a date and time that entries need to be posted by. If anybody is going to be out of contact during any of that period, let me know. Predictions can be submitted for all the games at any time, so no need to miss out.

If I don't have your entry by the deadline then no points will be accrued that week.

After the final game each week the updated league table will be published on this thread.

When predicting the scores for the last round of matches I will ask also for a first goal time for a match that I will select.

In the event of two or more players being level at the end of the competition the following steps will be used to break the tie:

1. The most correct scores.

2. The earliest correct score in the competition.

3. Total number of goals predicted is closest to the number of goals actually scored.

4. First goal time is closest to the actual first goal time, as published at spfl.co.uk. If the match score is 0 - 0, the closest time to 90 wins.
