Yellow & Redneck
Glad to be 1-0 up at the break, but this is truly one of the worst games of football I've ever had the displeasure of witnessing. Just punt and chase, punt and chase.
javeajag
An utterly utterly dreadful game of football with an awful performance from us .... the positives they gave us a goal and missed a sitter .... the negatives everything else
stillresigned
Glad to be 1-0 up at the break, but this is truly one of the worst games of football I've ever had the displeasure of witnessing. Just punt and chase, punt and chase. Can't disagree with that analysis and I would also add that we are more than a tad fortunate to be in the lead at the moment. Nonetheless, I'm more than happy to take it and hopefully we can build on our lead in this half.

javeajag
I said the giving of us a goal was a positive and in the second half we have had 3 great chances to score again However the game is mince and we are poor
stillresigned
This last 15/20 minutes is going to be excruciating: particularly if we don't score? Easy to comprehend why these two teams are bottom of the league!
sandy
Some fans would rather see us have less possession and get 1-0’s through long balls. Not me though.

thistle4celtic1
So, from about the 65th to 75th minute Thistle (Sammon, McCarthy, Lawless) created two or three very good goal scoring chances. It certainly looked to me like to me like the chances came about from Thistle pressing RC inside the last third of the pitch rather than backing off and allowing them to move the ball forward unchallenged. Why can't we just play this way all the time? Or is it just that RC's style of play allows us to do it?
sandy
Sammon? Bloody heck. Nice one. But please release him in Jan

Dick Dastardly
Great confidence boosting win and, after all our trials and tribulations, we go into the break just 6 points away from top 6.

javeajag
Great result and much needed 3 points given other results... we were better in the second half and created 4/5 decent chances Quality of football from both sides was poor the ball spending most of its time 50ft in the air Our passing game is now a pleasant memory
stillresigned
Sammon? Bloody heck. Nice one. But please release him in Jan Have to disagree with you there; scored a great goal today and although I'm sure he would be the first to admit that he's no Lionel Messi? I have to say that Connor always gives 100% and offers something i.e. a physical presence up front that no-one else does. Yellow & Redneck
Thought Sammon was actually good when he came on. Also impressed by McCarthy. Kept fighting, didnt give up when he lost the ball, and seemed like a creative outlet
MontyJag
Much more comfortable without Devine in defence. Hope Archie learns from this......
JAG1970
Thought Barton was very good today, won just about everything in the air and was quite composed. Great pass from McCarthy for the second goal and good pace and composed finish from Sammon.
