They probably won’t lose any days training as they wouldnt usually train on Saturday anyway. Swap out training on Sunday instead of Wednesday or Thursday. However travelling 10+ hours won’t help. Maybe if the players knew they were playing to save other people's jobs, not just their own they'd put that little bit extra into training and match day performances? Do we know for sure where the money is coming from anyway? Could be a rich benefactor being generous rather than coming out of the club's budget. Another spin of the dice but based on last night we need to try anything we can. The players sadly don’t seem interested about the risk to the non playing staff jobs. Very similar to the playoffs last year where potentially they had 2 games to help the staff and barely looked interested

Akin to the soundbite of management about a troubled workforce. There may have been a player or two indifferent to the non playing staff's welfare but unless you've the misfortune to personally know those ********* then imo that's misguided guesswork. Clubs get relegated/lose play offs every season. Someone has to. If avoiding those downturns in fortune was largely down to players attitudes then managing a football team would be a piece of cake. Your point, well intentioned as it mat be, is way too general. Also it's their, not there. You got it right the second time. Perhaps fitter than those of last season and at the start under AA, but they still run out of puff towards the end of games. There is still a real nervousness around the defence so perhaps a bonding trip will help?

But wait- all season they have been losing games/ putting in shite performances and in preparation of the next game they stay in Scotland and train in preparation for the next game. It has not been working, so what makes you think it would work this time? Going to Tenerife might not change anything, but it is something different and it just might.
