We HAVE to play our best three centre backs as centre backs tonight. We're light-years better when we do.

That means finding a left wing back from somewhere, anywhere.

Sorry for self-quoting, but this aged pretty well! (it doesn't happen often)

Out of likes but great to see Jagsfox - as I couldn’t actually see what was written on the t shirt last night

Big Question. How long has he been wearing it? I'd love it if it only appeared last night - even better if only at half-time!

I do wonder if an unexpected benefit of having an Academy presence in the interim management is a knowledge and trust in these young boys that others may not have had.

I would love to hear BG, MW, or even Dools/McCall talk about how they know when a youth player is ready for that jump.

Stanway had gone from no game time under McCall to regular play under Dools in a span of a few months.  I doubt Stanway just “flipped a switch” and was suddenly ready.

I’d be willing to tolerate another season in the championship if we could give the kids more opportunities and figure out the youth development pathway.

Agree but McCall did enthuse about Stanway.

Bigger leagues could help introduce younger players more often.

Watch Stanway closely then you will see why he’s not been rated as much as some think he should

runs about the pitch like a mad skull, throws himself about , gets booked, wins the odd tackle and roughly 50 min mark he’s blowing out his arse

last night he did have a decent enough performance but sadly won’t be starting 11 going forward if we want to improve as a club
