  1. Past hour
  2. The lad, Hancock, down the other flank has impressed me. Appears to always be in control.
  3. I don’t find it difficult at all to hate every team that is not Thistle or Scotland.
  4. That’s a great picture
  5. I didn’t really like him. He seemed to always be looking for a foul.
  6. Today
  7. Dunfermline at home when BBG had 2 goals chopped off for offside springs to mind.
  8. Agree. Just being hit on the head with a wayward water bottle.
  9. I didn't think Megwa was quite as effective last night as he was on Tuesday night, agree he does look a good player. He is a Hibs player. Started the season on loan at Airdrie went back to hibs Dec/Jan, went to Saudi Arabia i think it was during the winter break with Hibs and played a few games in the Premier league before returning to Airdrie on loan.
  10. Macbeth has been awesome at CB. I appreciate we’re struggling in midfield but MacBeth and Muirhead have played brilliantly together.
  11. I wouldn’t be hugely surprised if clubs did look at Dools. Whilst he has made mistakes like all managers do, he really has done brilliantly so far. He speaks well, is intelligent and clearly thinks about the game. Graham in some respects is a good foil for him as captain as he is more vocal and heart on the sleeve. Perhaps the one difference between Dools and McCabe (whom I rate highly) is that Thistle have a bit more potential in terms of crowds, budgets, good academy etc. In many respects, if Dools keeps performing, I hope he doesn’t make the mistake that Archie did of not moving on when his stock was high, which damaged his reputation.
  12. It might just have been me but I never really felt we weren't going to win that last night. Airdrie play some nice stuff to the 18 yard line and then struggle to cut through. I thought Doolan had his tactics spot on. Press their defence for the ball but if you don't get it fall back to the 18 yard line and let Airdrie play nice passing but ultimately toothless football in front of us and after they exhaust their usual options hit them on the break. Makes for a frustrating watch but its a very effective plan against a better passing team. Last season we tried to outscore/blow teams away this season we look a more solid unit. If we are to get any further in the playoffs it will be because we can keep clean sheets and are an awkward team to play against. Not quite Livingston levels of winning ugly when they won the playoffs but we will need a degree of sh!tfesting to get through Best player over the 2 games was McBeth. Never lost a challenge last night and has some real composure with the ball at his feet. He looks a very good find and if he keeps it up we might struggle to keep him. Robinson, Graham, Muirhead and Milne were excellent. Mitchell has a calming effect on the back 4. Stanway won ball in the first half but tired a bit. Worried about McMillan who does look to be feeling the effects and MacKenzie struggle at rightback. Fitzpatrick was better last night but still not completely firing. Neilson looked lost but his physique is something we would struggle without in midfield.
  13. Fair point, but I do not think that Novak is being constantly chased and kicked by other players.
  14. Brian is becoming a legend at Firhill - the 🐐
  15. Perhaps I am being unkind but why is it that 37-year-old tennis players appear to be far, far fitter than 20 or something year old footballers? I have no idea exactly how long the average footballer spends 'in action' in the course of 90 minutes but Novak djokovic is frequently on court for four hours plus with only a 90 second break between games. As I said, maybe I am being unfair as I know nothing about fitness regimes...
  16. I appreciate that there is a lot of history between the clubs and the fans, but at the moment I find it quite difficult to hate Airdrie.
  17. Don't doubt your point about records, but other clubs will look at Airdrie's style of play and reason that with better players (especially up front) he would be a good signing.
  18. His record is no better than Doolan who is about the same age and also in his first manager job. Do you expect him to be moving on ? Worried that someone might offer BBG a player/manager job if we don’t get promoted
  19. Job done but Airdrie made us work very hard for that win. They are a good team, well coached and play some good stuff. I think that is why I am so happy to progress past them, tribal rivalries aside. Credit to our boys for getting the job done and it was fantastic to see Brian Graham being the difference maker. A very well deserved man of the season and still hungry to win. He will be vital if we are to get past the Rovers.
  20. 2 more things about last night. the Lambie was rocking all night and the ‘boing boing’ at the end was brilliant. It’s a pity the cameras didn’t catch it properly. also around 10 of the women’s team sat in front of us in the JH last night and they were all well into it too. onto Raith and they will be a tough one but anything can happen in play offs as we know
  21. Whit!!!!!!! That would only slow things down - which is the last thing we want. Bannigan's strengths lie in passing backwards and fouling.
  22. Young Daniel was brilliant and even got to present his Dad with the man of the match award live on TV. What a special moment for both of them
