  1. Past hour
  2. None of the offside goals shown unfortunately. I’m sure 2 of them were onside
  3. Today
  4. Highlights (from ECTV) now up on Youtube:
  5. Yesterday
  6. Holt apparently left Derry(?) and joining Ayr according to Facebook posts. Similar to Dom Thomas, both lasting 6 months in Ireland
  7. Yep, I'd also be happy to see either of them back, especially Holt.
  8. There were a few surprising results (i.e., wins for the underdogs/lower division teams) in yesterdays matches.
  9. I see Docherty is now the captain of Ross County. Surprised Holt and Docherty didn't last longer at Dundee Utd. Both seemed popular with United fans and the general opinion on P&B was that both would be hard to replace. Holt, whom I think fell out of favour and with Goowin, has been plying his trade with Derry City since January I would take Holt back in a minute. I would also take Docherty back as well.
  10. Stranraer draw with Ross County and take the bonus point in the shoot out. 2 takeaways: 1) Stranraer on Tuesday may be tougher than we might have expected. 2) Win our next 2 games and a draw in Dingwall would be enough to top the group.
  11. Obviously need to wait and see where we are after the Ross game, after all, this time last year Clyde and McCall effectively knocked us out this competition.
  12. Don't want to crow until we've beaten Stranraer, but...
  13. Stranraer beat Ross C on penalties. Big incentive for us to get to the knockout stages and hopefully we’ll have completed more signings by the time we play them (Ross)
  14. Good result for us today with Stranraer beating Ross County on penalties but does show we will need to be at our best on Tuesday evening to get the 3 points.
  15. I know the opposition has not been top quality, but so far I’ve been impressed by Cammy Logan. I think we might have a player there.
  16. Anyway, apologies to LLD as I have distracted us from the original intention of the thread so for my penance stick me down for another £20.
  17. Seems like we want to price a bunch of supporters out of this kind of sponsorship. £450 is a lot of money.
  18. Hard to say as some players have moved on so not on the page but still some info from last season: https://ptfc.co.uk/team/first-team/ My position is that if boots were not a big seller then look at reducing the price and/or working harder at pushing sales rather than just remove the option completely. Also, if we are just concentrating on tops this season why not add in the 3rd kit? From the AGM, tranche 2 Q&A and other updates it has always been the commercial/hospitality department that has had the finger pointed at it for our poor financial performance and this, in my opinion, does not help that perception.
  19. I have to question that, because according to the BBC match stats their goalie didn't make a single save, and the BBC know their stuff don't they.
  20. Don’t think people should be getting on McKays back .Young Lad has had a terrible injury and must have been really hard for him over the last year . If he has had setback you can only imagine what he is going through - including worrying about his own future etc .
  21. More or less a complete reversal from last season's fixture against them. Goalless at half time then scoring six after the break.
  22. First half we were very good. Possibly the best attacking play since the playoff run at the end of 22/23. The movement of Chalmers, Stanway, Crawford and Logan was a joy to watch. Been a long time since we've seen midfielders go beyond our front line and get in behind the defence but Stanway and Crawford did that really well. Lawless looked really good as he just see's things others don't. The interplay between him and Logan looked like watching a replay of Lawless and MacMillan. If we have been 7 ahead by halftime I don't think Edinburgh could have any complaints. Bud needs to do better with the Edinburgh goal but his distribution was pretty good as he was consistently hitting the channel between right centre-back and right-back to give Fitzpatrick something to run at. Second half raised some concerns. Logan dropped out the game as an attacking threat particularly when Lawless went off however not sure if that also was because he's not got the fitness to do 90 minutes of running beyond the wingers. Fitzpatrick and Reading never really clicked and neither is great a defending. Reading can carry the ball quite well but unlike Logan he wants to overlap and more than once was getting to close to Fitzpatrick and closing down his space, Reading also looked our defensive weak point and O'Reilly was having to step in quite a few times. Our midfield seemed to stop dictating the play and making the runs beyond the defence particularly when Stanway was subbed. I think that more shows that we are very light in midfield and I also think we don't have a midfield 'leader' demanding players raise their game. Of the subs Watt looked a little rusty but surprisingly good in the air and you can see he picks up some decent positions that should lead to goals. Horn again looked decent and if he had scored from his shot that would have been the best goal of the night. MacKenzie tried his best to add pace to midfield but he still lacks the aggression and presence that he needs to rediscover to be anywhere near ready to start in a championship game. Falconer only got a few minutes and never really got a chance to get involved. Really could do with a midfielder before the county game and additionally 2 fullbacks, a striker and goalkeeper before the season starts.
  23. Or that there wasn't a lot of boot/glove sponsorship taken out. Anyone know roughly how many were?
  24. Morton obviously looking at what we do and thinking "we can't just appoint a sporting director" so have come up with Technical Head Coach. Anyway welcome back to The Mekon. https://gmfc.net/billy-davies-joins-as-technical-head-coach/
  25. These signings certainty change my narrative. A big welcome to Partick Thistle ladies and best wishes for a successful time.
