angry gaz
Good luck to him, despite how he left he did us a good turn and left us with quite a lot of the signings that went on to become the championship winning team.

Garscube Road End
Good luck to him. Always liked him.
lady-isobel-barnett
Looks a like a good deal for both club and manager. Ayr are getting a manager that's capable of getting them promoted next season and is well equipped to stabilize them meantime. Bunter's getting the largest supported club that was realistically still available to him.
Norgethistle
I think he'll do a turn there
The Cup
I hope he does well. He still speaks highly of Thistle on the radio.
Mediocre Pundit
Yip, all the best to him. Wouldn't mind seeing us loan him a few promising youngsters either.

Gaucho
I've always thought he'd fancy the Ayr job when Marko's time was up. I think he's ideal for them, a club with a bit of potential. Wouldn't be surprised to see Archie and him working together with us sending youngsters there to get 1st team experience. He built the foundations of the team Jackie Mac developed so I sincerely wish him well.
ThickAsThieves
I've never actually known the real reason(s) he left us, so if someone wants to PM me that'd be nice. Think he'll do a good job at Ayr, hope so too - they're my local club.

jaggy
good luck as well from me, he done a decent job at Firhill and definitely laid the foundations for where we are now
Derby Jag
Hope he does really well there. Really enjoyed his first few years at the club which were a breath of fresh air compared to what came before. He brought in some players who turned out to be key in our promotion team as well as guys like Harkins. It ended a little sour but he is always very complimentary about us. Also would like to see Ayr back, at least as a strong Championship team. Always enjoy the trip down there
north stander
Shame it didn't work out for The Hoor down there, but agree with DJ's sentiments pn McCall and Ayr generally. Also as MP says, could be a good club (if McCall gets them in shape, which think at that level, he will) to send some of our youngsters on loan for game experience - and if we get first dibs on any upcoming prospects he unearths that would be a bonus. Lindau
Great to see him back in management. Let no one forget the work he started at Firhill. Surprised it has taken him so long to get back in.

Surprised it has taken him so long to get back in. Possibly been done a favour not getting most of the jobs he was reported to be in for. Don't see him as the short fix type and should get enough time at Ayr.
Third Lanark
He had a lot of time for the jags. Signed some very important players for us, started the process of setting up the youth teams and last but not least IMO the club was sinking further and further after Gerry Collins, Britton & whyte and particularly dick Campbell but McCall got it back to the surface and started the engine before it was full steam ahead under McNamara and Archibald who carried on the good work he initially begun. Even after he left the club was no stranger to firhill and brought his son and mates along in partick thistle strips. Think he will do well at Ayr and echoe sentiments that it could be beneficial to both us and the honest men
