Jags Trust
The Jags Trust wishes to mark the occasion of Kris Doolan scoring his 100th goal for Thistle and, while there will no doubt be many seeking to celebrate this, The Trust thought it appropriate to do so in a way that might help the next Kris Doolan to be brought to Firhill. The Trust has arranged to buy the actual ball with which this great servant of Thistle gets his century of goals in Red and Yellow – and that Kris signs it for us - with a donation of £1000 going to Archie’s Players Fund. The ball itself will be raffled later in the season, thus ensuring that a genuine Jags fan ends up with this unique souvenir of a one-club player who has never failed to give his all for The Jags. Doooooooooooooooooooooolan!

sandy
Interesting gesture. Are the Jags Trust looking to cover some/all of their £1k donation through raffle tickets for the ball? How much will tickets be?
Jags Trust
Are the Jags Trust looking to cover some/all of their £1k donation through raffle tickets for the ball? How much will tickets be? Any raffle proceeds are unrelated to the donation, so ticket prices etc have yet to be determined. All funds raised by The Trust are, in any event, passed to some operational element of PTFC, Supporters Branches, associated groups or local charities. BowenBoys
I'm not sure what the Jags Trust is and what they do. Can someone enlighten me? I presume that the £1000 that they paid for the ball would have been given to the club anyway so any new funding secured is from the raffle ticket sales. What happens to the funds raised is unclear. Any raffle proceeds are unrelated to the donation, so ticket prices etc have yet to be determined. All funds raised by The Trust are, in any event, passed to some operational element of PTFC, Supporters Branches, associated groups or local charities. If I am correct in assuming that the £1000 would have gone to the club anyway, how much additional funding will the club receive from handing over this historic ball to the Jags Trust? I wonder how much money the club could have raised if they had raffled the ball themselves.
