Paulo
As with last week, I would be very surprised if we change formation.
Big Col
If we use the same tactics as those employed against Celtic, we'll get beaten. And beaten easily. I agree with those who say we need to be positive and attack from the off. Erskine has to start, along with Spital. Without them we have nothing creativity wise. Gnome on the Bing
There's a lot of pessimism on here, and the evidence obviously justifies that mindset, but I feel we might do something tonight. We've been the better team for long stretches in the last couple of games against this lot at Firhill. I'm daring to dream. 2-1 Thistle. thistle4celtic1
No matter the opponent or formation, Christie Elliott should not be on the bench. He, more than any other player, allows Archie the most flexibility with in-game formation changes
sandy
Stuff these pessimist (realistic) predictions. Let's pump those h*ns tonight

stillresigned
For a change, I was getting pissed off with Radio Scotland and it wasn't their political coverage! Christ, if they mentioned again that we hadn't beat the Currant Buns since 1993-my radio would have been no more. Fact is that this game is eminently winnable: if of course the management and players adopt the right positive and aggressive mental attitude. Instead of been a reason for fear I think our appalling record against them should act as a spur to drive us on. I'll be well pissed off, if it's another case of if only tonight. Mon the Jags OTIG, FTOF.
Barney Rubble
We can win this... but sadly I don't think we will We need to start with a back 3 to get Barton out of midfield and back to his best position. Sammon on the wing has to stop, we should start with. Cerny (if unfit, Sneddon) On what basis?
Garscube Road End
Scully McGinn? Turnbull Keown Devine Elliott Erskine Spittal Edwards Sammon Storey This side except Barton in for Sammon.
Barney Rubble
This side except Barton in for Sammon. Is that official GRE?
partickthedog
On what basis? Agreed Barney. Scully definitely unless Cerny 100% fit to go for whole game. Edited September 15, 2017 by partickthedog
Aberdeenjag
I think we need to adopt the same approach to this game that we did against Sellick. They are a much better side than the hvns, and a positive, attacking approach is likely to give us our best chance of a good result. Sitting back and hoping for a draw is out the question for me. As said above, we really do need to believe in ourselves tonight; they are nothing special, and we are going to bag a win sometime very soon - why not tonight? Mon Thistle - I N T A E R R U M! Pretty much just what Archie said on the radio just now. This is all about Thistle, not that lot. Mon Jags, get us a win.

Barney Rubble
OK - here we go again against this mob. Good luck to Archie and the boys, to all Jags fans at the game and to all of us watching around the globe. GO FOR IT JAGS!!!
