I can only hope Dundee go with the original indication of rejecting this. It raises an interesting question. If there was no coronavirus how many clubs would vote to fInish a season early? Probably a fair few.

The reasons I ask are that: 1. Up until your post all other posters are saying Dundee would vote or voted No, and also 2. Some posters are saying Dundee have actually stated they have or were going to vote No! Notwithstanding the Hobson's Choice which you point out I would have thought Dundee would have been well aware of the implications for them of a no vote! Away games at ICT & Dundee for me next season (being hopeful) and that's it! Or in the alternative away games at Falkirk and Dumbarton who voted no and I’m also thinking Montrose also voted no Edited April 11, 2020 by Third Lanark
Auld Jag
In times when every day life has changed, the Scottish football authorities remind us they have stayed the same. They couldn't organise a you know what in a brewery and they are also happy to shaft a few teams they know can't really fight back.

JeanieD
On a related theme, is it now to be assumed that those clubs which voted to take the money will now no longer require staff to be furloughed and will return any claimed money under the scheme to the relevant public body? gianlucatoni
Anyone got a spare calculator for our well informed former manager ... answers in a sealed white envelope please Gary caldwell @garycaldwell05 Scottish football is a shambles. Why open it up to clubs, they are always going to vote for their own existence. Perfect time for a change 14/12/12 league system in Scotland. No need to punish any team at this time !!!! gianlucatoni
Kheredine Idessane & others on BBC Sportsound just now saying they've seen THREE signed and dated NO ballot forms from ICT, PTFC & Dundee. Dundee also requested after 5pm yesterday, that the SPFL did not count their vote at that time. Plot thickens.

They are increasingly in a difficult situation.

Brechin are one of the lucky turkeys . The others don't matter as far as the spfl are concerned and technically are no worse off..
gianlucatoni
Michael Stewart saying that many premier league teams were against the proposal but voted yes to release money for the lower league clubs. His solution is release money now & have an independent vote on ending season. Another technical issue with the hearts no vote too apparently - contacted and resubmitted no vote. Surely now there should be calls for an independent organisation to run the ballots for the SPFL - dirty barstewards that they are. gianlucatoni
ICT chair saying all chairmen talking on WhatsApp in hours leading into the vote. On the afternoon of the vote, the three clubs were solid as NO votes - they had a discussion to all vote at the same time to show solidarity however that was not possible. They opted to share photos of signed ballot papers with all clubs on the WA. PTFC sent in theirs at 2.52pm DFC sent in theirs at 4.24pm along with their online club statement. ICT did theirs at 4.39pm. At 4.52pm DFC noted that vote has been submitted. These are facts presented by ICT chairman on BBC Sportsound. gianlucatoni
He says ICT were not yet on their knees - however were on "one knee" - and could easily have taken the 330k for finishing second as it would alleviate problems on the horizon. Huge respect to someone/club setting aside money and seeing the bigger picture. Edited April 11, 2020 by gianlucatoni
