Arabs v Jags Friday Night

Utterly honking first 30 minutes, United could and perhaps should have been 5-0 up in that period alone.

We've gradually built a bit of momentum since then, but I fear that, like the game at Firhill, if United get the next goal we could implode.

1-0 is always retrievable, but Dools needs to have a credible Plan B, because whatever he sent them out to do tonight got blown away in the first quarter of the game.

Other posters saying we don’t need Turner back - we could do with him back for his set pieces alone.  Our free kicks appear to be a case of just passing backwards- no threat whatsoever

agree a chance to play free kick into box, we play it back.

would have turner back in a heartbeat.  preferably using bannigan to ‘sweeten’ the deal.  win win.

Fitzpatrick is either a 9/10 or a 2/10, nothing in between. Compare his output to the United wingers tonight and it’s night and day. Zero effort off the ball from him.

Our new favourite tactic of shelling long diagonals doesn’t do us any favours either.

We started the game tonight with zero belief we could win and out performance matched that.

United are a poor team, it’s a poor standard of league this year so heaven knows why we sit off them so much.

Young Diack looks decent, deserves a shot.

We really need some midfielders in January.

No real surprise given our known weaknesses. We’ve conceded 14 goals and taken just one point from the two teams above us in four games.

But if we can strengthen in January and keep our best players then a play off spot is there for the taking. And it’s not nice tippy tappy signings, it’s players with aggression and mental strength to win individual battles and drive those around them. Whether that can be found is another matter of course.
