Fawlty Towers
Condolences to Mr Cormack's family and friends. Was before my time but I am sure many on here would have been attending games during his period as manager.
Third Lanark
When I first started to go to Partick Thistle games he was the manager. Also remember my first ever panini sticker album in 1980s and I was desperate to complete the Partick Thistle squad as they were the premier league at the time and as manager he was the last one I needed to collect. RIP Peter. Thoughts with his friends and family at this very sad time ❤️

Auld Jag
Iirc when Benny Rooney died @The Thistle Archive said that Peter Cormack was the oldest surviving ex Thistle manager, does that title now goes to Dick Campbell? RIP Peter Cormack. Edited October 12, 2024 by Auld Jag

So Derek Johnstone is now the oldest living permanent Thistle manager. I must admit i didn't even consider him being the oldest permanent one. I heard Murdo Macleod on the radio yesterday and he nearly didn't survive the health scare he had a year or so ago.
Lenziejag
I couldn’t have told you Donnie McKinnon had been caretaker manager or Kenny Miller for that matter.

Only 4 or 5 good ones. Makes me think we should probably stick with Dools.

The Managerial Comings And Goings → Reading through that 80's and 90's list of managers gives me the fear. Out with Lambie, every single on of them was a failure. Got to have sympathy for Peter Cormack though, who took over the club at a very difficult time. He did have us challenging the first couple of seasons back in 1st Division as well. a f kincaid
I think I'm right in saying that it's in Maurice Johnston's book that when he was leaving for Watford, Peter Cormack learned Maurice had no agent. He drove him down south and sort of rehearsed him what to say. Maurice was grateful as he got a better deal that he might have without Peter's input.
