Cowdenbeath, game on/off updates

The game needs to be played, I'll be pleasantly surprised if both our games v Cowden take place this week. It's pretty unreasonable to expect a team going for the title to possibly have to play; Saturday, Monday, Thursday, Saturday. Which is a real possibility should anymore matches be called off. Don't expect any 'favours' from the SFL though and winning the title (hopefully) will be all the sweeter considering the amount of games we'll need to fit in.

The game doesn't need to be played. The 2 midweeks between the Falkirk, Dunfermline and Dumbarton games are still free.

So there's every possibility this thread will be getting merged with the cowdenbeath - game off, thread?

Hmm, yes.

A pitch inspection more than 24 hours before kick off can't be good news. If it was looking OK at the moment or even borderline then surely there would be no point in inspecting until tomorrow afternoon?

So is it ok to do it in the 2nd Division. Brechin are playing their home games at Forfar just now.

The difference is they had four games in hand and are pushing for the play-offs. Cowdenbeath are not and only have one game (against us) to catch up on, and there are two mid-week slots left in the season. It was Brechin's pitch that was the problem, and there's nothing wrong with Cowdenbeath's pitch other than there's a lot of snow falling on it and they don't have USH when it freezes.
