Big Col
Did anyone else watch the Champions League-esque draw on BT? Â We've got QOS, Stenny, Queens Park and Airdrie. Â No idea how they work out whether it's home or away. Â But quite a good group methinks.

The Jukebox Rebel
There's three plastic pitches in our group. Congratulations on the first "unprecedented in the history of the club" stat of 2016-17! Â Great memories of our last trip to Hampden, hopefully a return visit is imminent. lady-isobel-barnett
Dumbarton have hardly knocked it off with this regionalisation palaver. They're grouped with East Fife, Dundee, Forfar & Peterhead

twinny
Desperately hoping for Queen of the South away on a weekend. Other than that not too bothered really. Could the QoS be televised?

They're grouped with East Fife, Dundee, Forfar & Peterhead  Can't understand why Dumbarton were considered as a "North" section team - unless the Highland Boundary fault has played some part in this wierd geography.......................and even then everything south of Stonehaven on the east coast would have to be considered "south" of the fault.............................somebody at the SPFL is obviously at fault.

twinny
It seems daft but sense in the end. They were seeded in the second pot which was imbalanced geographically, so was either them, St Mirren, Rangers or Morton who had to be placed the north section. BowenBoys
Rangers fans favour the north.

Lenziejag
Well it should surely have been Rangers who are best placed to absorb the additional travel costs
stillresigned
Well it should surely have been Rangers who are best placed to absorb the additional travel costs And their also happy no doubt to visit the scenes of their many friendly triumphs over the past few years? Blackpool Jags
Summery weekend trip to Dumfries, please. Anything other than that will be wholly unacceptable.
Pinhead
I doubt we will be away to Dumfries, as the seeded team in the group i would guess they will be coming to Firhill

Rid Skwerr
Do Stennie still play at the McGowan's toffee stadium? Â Let's not be too complacent about this game - I remember us playing them off the park and losing 4-0 there. Â Gary Gow was in goal for them that day, I think. mgow
Â Â Did he not get MOTM in that game aswell? Â And a contract at Firhill too. One of the few occasions that I can recall Thistle doing a "big team" on anyone.

JeanieD
5 team group does open up the opportunity for a "Germany/Austria" contrived result in the last game if the leading team in the section is not playing whilst the nearest rivals, if playing one another, could manipulate an advantageous result for both of them. Of course it wont happen as Scottish football is far too honest for this kind of thing.......................................... but the opportunity does exist! Vaila Street
I assume the last game will be 2 v.1, ie. QoS away on 30 July. A fine start to the season. Add in a game v. Bath and that's the best two trips of the season done and dusted before the league starts.....
ian_mac
Was hoping to get Ayr or Berwick as both are great days out. But if we get QOS away I'll be happy
