But against Rangers we have twice at home bottled a lead in the last ten minutes and had two abject displays at Ibrox. And the only team in this league not to take anything against them. partickthedog Posted May 7, 2017 Report Share Posted May 7, 2017 Been a brilliant season, but the encouraging and exciting thing is that there is so much room for improvement without having to spend megabucks to achieve it. What I mean is that we have not scraped sixth place by scrambling some lucky results. Based on our play in many of the games, we could easily have finished higher. As disappointed and deflated as anyone, but proud of the team and their performance. Some wonderful moves and just one other clinical finish would have given us that extra bit of confidence to see out the victory. Rather harsh on Edwards to call his chance a sitter. Some strange deflections off both Barton and Edwards and by the time Ryan had got control of the ball, the goalkeeper was right on top of him. Our best team in 20 years, and we still can't hold out for a win against that mob. You have to admit, it's embarrassing. We see the badge and shit it, pure and simple.
