jasmclaughlin
But I doubt its right, we are beeing sponsored by macb so horizontal stripes. Maybee like the one the new mascot is wearing in the new sponsor publicity photos. Is that not a big clue? Surely this is THEE big story? Has Pee Tee been axed? Or will it be a joint mascot? My son needs to know.

Allan Heron
I don't mind it personally. It seems to be a link back to the early 70s all yellow with some wee stripes thrown in. Was it not the early 80's that we had this. In the early 1970's the top was yellow with red trimmings, whilst the away top was the opposite. jagsman411971
We will end up with a version of one of these, either Brentford or Colchester. Possibles
Dark Passenger
I think it's safe to assume that the pictured kit in the OP will be next season's strip.
Dick Dastardly
Looks like a 1970's reject with a sponsors logo added. Very disappointed if that is the new top. I'm sure that jagsman411971 is right though and we will get an "off the shelf" Puma design.
jaggy
It's a belter, obviously based on the early 70's strip but nice with the pinstripes
alx
Yuck, no way I'm buying that. Even that Liverpool one was better.

Possibles The Brentford kit in our colours would be fine. So... is that every other team in Britain announced there new shirt for sale except for us, then? I'm sure that jagsman411971 is right though and we will get an "off the shelf" Puma design. The thing is, our two kits last season (the African design and the camouflage one) aren't "off the shelf" designs, and they're both unique to us. I don't see why it wouldn't be the same again. I don't see why it wouldn't be the same again. The home top is off the shelf. Plenty of teams down south had the paintbrush design with different colours. Reading for one. Furthermore, the quality of last season's strip was significantly worse than the strip before. The stitching and the quality of the material used were very poor. lennythistle
Guess we will have to speculate what the top will actually look like for a while longer.....I called Greaves this morning to find out if there was a release date for the new strip and they advised there is nothing at this moment in time. Others have stated this already but it does seem that almost all clubs have their new strips already on sale or at the very least a release date confirmed. Hope we don't make a mistake that has been made before and not have the strip available for season starting. Guess there is still around 5 weeks or so before 1st competative match so still time but it would be good if it came out sooner rather than later. potty trained
Does anyone actually take in anything thats printed on the official site? They have said that the home strip will be released at the end of June! I'd say the leaked strip will be our home strip for next year, and i quite like it. Think it should be red shorts and either red or yellow socks. one things for sure, it shouldn't have black shorts(red socks) or the reverse. last season's strip showed that didn't work. with it only becoming visually appealing when they began to wear red socks with the red shorts. if this top has red shorts and yellow or red socks, then i'd say the away kit should be mostly black (maybe with alternate red/yellow pinstripes through it?). another alternative for the away top would be similar to mortons, but, black, with a red and a yellow pinstripe across the shoulder. In all honesty PT I do follow the OS very closely and i admit that i had forgotten they had stated that.........would you not , however, agree if that is indeed the time the strip will be released, then Greaves would have confirmed this? They are after all in charge of that side of things. I believe during the press conference this week, Maxi was asked about the new strip and his reply was Greaves are in charge of it. Release date aside, it would be good to see what the strip is going to look like. Plenty of clubs have launched their new strips for coming season, with a pre order or forthcoming sale date attached. Just think it would be good if we could do the same.
potty trained
Would be great to know, yes, but to be honest i'm not fussed. i'd imagine the fact that it's pre season, folk are bored and have nothing to post about leads to the impatience. there are plenty of clubs who are in the same boat as us. and if you read other forums, they all think they are also the worst club in the world when it comes to this! Think yourself lucky you're not a St Mirren fan... they launched their strip at last season's player of the year dance. At the same time announced they have joined up with JD sports. Since then.... not a peep from JD sports or their Club.

potty trained
That's kinda similar to announcing a fan fundraising scheme in December, then... Och forget about that! once our marketing specialists get round to something, it will be some poxy membership card with a discount on it or something. some half hearted sh!t that does nothing to inspire the fan base. lets save that for another day... Yes, you're right I think, but what I meant was that there was talk of us going back to the 71 jersey for the anniversary of the LC win, and this might be an attempt to do that, with a twist. Anyway. let's see. One season of this is ok but after this I'd be happy to get back to the hoops. By ra way, did anybody else like the "half red / half yellow" v-neck top that we had a few years back? I always did, and wear that one around the house sometimes. It's not much use on a cold day though.

On the subject of Greaves, I hope they deliver on their Jags tartan scarves promise, as discussed here more than once. If not then I'll be asking. If not then I'll be asking. If they don't then somebody who bought a roll of PTFC tartan and got somebody to cut it up and stitch up scarves could make a tidy profit, I'd think. Windcalmer
I just wish the strip was set as either stripes or hoops and kept at that. Styles will change, collars will change but we should look at the bigger (and more profitable) clubs as an example - Celtic, Barcelona, AC Milan, Athletico Madrid - nothing much changes season to season. the big changes should be focused on the away strips.
