Lambies Lost Doo
Thought the ban was overly harsh. I'd have expected extended suspension, punishment with working in the community and a grovelling apology would have been enough.
Gary Peebles Tackle
I thought it was a very severe to rob someone of their livelihood for a daft mistake. It's a short enough career anyway. Obviously he should've known the risks, but I don't think it would have enhanced his performance in any way! Good, solid player & I hope he gets something sorted soon. stuart_adam
"Partick's" ? Excuse me? Partick's McMillan has cocaine ban reduced after appeal Edited July 25, 2016 by stuart_adam
Dick Dastardly
My reading of the article is that NADP have agreed that he did not knowingly take the cocaine (ie agree with him that it was a spiked drink) If that is the case, the only mistake he made is to goto a party with immature friends. I would suggest that we have all been guilty of that before and it is extremely harsh to take away his lively hood as a result. I wish him all the best on resurrecting his career and I hope that it does not impact on his ability to find a new club. ian_mac
Reducing the sentence is probably the right decision in this case. Reckon he will get a deal with a championship club such as Morton and possibly rebuild his career from there.
Dark Passenger
He sat with the QotS fans on Saturday. Could be his next destination. Might have been there to support his pal, Derek Lyle. Another footballer with a 'colourful' personal life.
partick monkey
He was outstanding for us 2 seasons ago but that was probably cos he was out his ******* nut on the finest Peuvian marching powder half the time. Waste of a real talent but I find it hard to feel too sorry for him. These guys are not the sharpest tools but you'd expect them to know the huge risks involved in doing this kinda thing. He'll end up with the DABs. Edited July 25, 2016 by partick monkey
sandy
Tbh don't feel too sorry for him. I'm pleased Thistle took a firm stand. There is no place for drugs in sport; he knew his responsibilities and the risks. He'll get a deal with a lower league club. His career hasn't been disrupted that much. I hope he has learned and is a better person.

Armand2
McMillan is a fine player and I think it's quite sad that he's deprived himself (and even sadder if it wasn't through his own doing) of the opportunity to showcase those talents in the Premier League. It's even more disappointing that he refused a contract which would have given him a wage over the last year and saw fit to slander the club when it would seem we went above and beyond what may have been reasonably expected of an employer in a case of gross misconduct. From a playing perspective, I'd love to see a player of McMillan's ability back at the club; but it would be very difficult to reconcile the rather bitter split. People make mistakes, and some deserve second chances, but to suggest the club hung him out to dry when it was made abundantly clear that we didn't means that opportunity won't be forthcoming. I'd go along with above. I'm very much a soft touch for giving second chances to anyone and besides the guy has done the time. Firstly tho' I don't think there's a place for McMillan in our squad anyway. But secondly even if we were crying out for his type of player it would be a third chance we'd be giving him, after the original misdemeanour and the way he criticised our treatment of his case. Of course if Jordan was a 20+ goal a season striker instead of a reasonably effective defender I'd predict most Jags fans, and probably the Club itself, would be far more forgiving. ian_mac
I think the way he went about his defence was almost as stupid and ill-advised as the crime itself.
Graemei
Just read this, this morning http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37214322 Bit of the same old story, but it's just interesting the comparison between Jordan and Jake Livermore's case. Also the feeling of being "abandoned" by the club. I can't recall the timeline of events but considering a two year ban i'm not sure what else Thistle could have done. BowenBoys
Very sorry to see this. Nobody takes cocaine by drinking it with alcohol. Whatever the circumstances that evening, he has been caught with cocaine in his system. We each have a view on the legality/morality issues with drugs but the rules for a professional footballer in this country are clear. He needs to shut up and find a job. Mouthing off to the press with vague accusations like 'my club abandoned me' is not going to impress potential future employers. It's a shame as I thought he was a good player. Woodstock Jag
Thistle kept McMillan's situation completely confidential, suspended him on full pay pending investigation, offered him personal and medical support (which he declined), offered him a new contract (which he rejected) and (voluntarily) passed on advice from the anti-doping agency that the legal advice he was receiving was non-specialist and may be deficient (of which he took no heed). If that's abandonment I'd love to be abandoned by Partick Thistle Football Club.
