BowenBoys 1,765 Report post Posted January 1 (edited) Scottish Cup Pop Up 2020/21 Ok, we're  back. Let's face  it, there's not much else to do. So let's have loads of players this season please. It's fairly simple, even partickthedog Auld Jag can manage it!  Select the teams that will make it through to the next round. In Round 2 you will have 20 selections. In Round 3 you will have 16 selections. From the 4th round you can only select teams that you picked in the previous round. Incorrect selections will mean, therefore, less options to choose from in succeeding rounds. Selection Points One point for each correct selection in Round 2. This will increase by one point in each successive round. Therefore, correctly selecting the Cup winner is worth six points. Seeding Points Teams are seeded according to the league that they play in. There are 6 groups - Premiership; Championship; League One; League Two; Highland/Lowland League; East of Scotland/SJFA Additional points will be awarded if your selected team knocks out a team from a higher group. One point per level. A further point will be awarded if it is an away win. To make it simple I have identified these fixtures in the list below i.e. H2 means a home win would gain 2 seeding points. Bonus Points There will be no Bonus Points awarded this year. Just 16 points were awarded last year out of a possible 144. It didn't have any bearing on the outcome. It's not worth the effort. Round 2 fixtures.    Kelty Hearts v Stranraer - H1    Keith v Clyde - H2    Arbroath v Falkirk - A2    Dumbarton v Huntly or Cumbernauld Colts - A3    Stirling Albion v Raith Rovers - H2    Buckie Thistle v Inverness Caledonian Thistle - H3    Forfar Athletic v Linlithgow Rose - A4    Camelon Juniors or Brora Rangers v Heart of Midlothian - H4/H3    Dundee v Bonnyrigg Rose - A4    Formartine United v Annan Athletic - H1    Nairn County v Montrose - H2    Elgin City v Ayr United - H2    East Fife v Tranent Juniors - A4    Alloa Athletic v Cove Rangers - A2    Airdrieonians v Edinburgh City - A2    Peterhead v Stenhousemuir - A2    Fraserburgh v Banks O'Dee - A2    Greenock Morton v Dunfermline      Partick Thistle v Cowdenbeath - A2    Queen's Park v Queen of the South - H2    There are still 2 Round 1 ties to be decided. These should be played tomorrow (2 January) Post your selections below. To make it easy, post h or a for each fixture as a single string of letters eg hahahahahahahahahaha. Please check there are 20 letters before posting.  Deadline for entries 7.45pm, Friday 8 January  Edited January 3 by BowenBoys

Buoyed up by my success last season, I am sticking to my principles. I hate selecting big teams to beat wee teams. That is no fun at all. So I am going to be particktheunderdog. Here are my selections and there is no doubting that the Scottish Cup will be more exciting if at least a few of them turn out to be correct. Jaggernaut 1,405 Report post Posted January 2 (edited) Quick question (or three): What happens in the case of a draw and extra time? Penalty shoot-out? Is it simply the winner of the tie that counts? Edited January 2 by Jaggernaut
