Thistle v Morton

A big game for both teams. Despite the vast improvement since Imrie came in Morton are sitting 8th and need the points to pull away from the bottom 2. After losing on Saturday if they lose to Thistle it might start to look like another new manager bounce for them. As for Thistle a win will see us 3rd and still with games in hand over the top 2. As i said in another thread we need to pick the points up in the early rearranged games to keep our confidence up and show the other teams in the top half of the league we are challenging for a top 4 place at least. We also want to get the points on the board incase we are struggling with form, suspensions or injuries later on in the season.  C'mon the Jags. :fan:

Albeit in League One we  did well last season playing catch up to win the league with one or two games to spare.

We need to go out tomorrow night and be prepared for a battle. If we match or better Morton in the physical challenge and then just play our football (like we did against the Arabs) then we should become! I just worry about the stop-start season we seem to be having and the improvement in Morton under Imrie. I am sure he has made them difficult to beat!

Quietly confident about this one tonight despite the so called “Imre bounce”,would feel more at ease with Foster being available but looks like he’s not ready yet .Keep it tight at the back, fluid in mid field and unleash the war dogs of Tiffoney and BBBG upfront.

Sun out in West End at moment, some spits and spot expected but game looks like a goer .

If we pick up 7 points from our 3 Tuesday night games  against Morton (H),  Arbroath (A) and Queen of the South (H) won't that indicate we are in fact challenging for the title?

if we win the Tuesday night game  the script will become - we can't afford to lose the following Friday/ Saturday scheduled game against Raith (A), Inverness (H) & Morton (A)!

Pressure eh!
